Taehyung and I talked until midnight, then we said goodnight and fell asleep next to each other, separated by a wall.
I awoke the next morning to see a doctor come in with a tray of food and a pen with a book next to it. I sat up and placed the food in my lap. I curiously opened the book first and noticed that all of the pages were blank.
I set the book down and began to eat my food, as I had been hungry since yesterday. The food was bland and plain, but it was nice to have something in my stomach. I decided to stand up once again having to use the device sending liquid through my veins. I walked towards the calendar with the pen in hand and crossed a day off, so I didn't forget how long I was here.
I sat next to Taehyung and asked him what I should write in my book. He told me that we should write everything that's happened so far, since he had a book as well.
The doctor from yesterday entered my room once again and examined me, taking notes of my health. She left the door unlocked like yesterday, so I thought I could try to explore again.
I walked towards the door and opened it. The hallway was the same, so I walked to my right once again. When I got near doors with a window on them, I crouched so nobody would see me.
I managed to get to the end of the hallway to see a large set of metal doors. It was an elevator! I pressed the button to go the bottom floor before I was greeted by the doctor again. She was suprised to see me at the elevator, but quickly turned me around and sent me back.
When I was in my room again I tried asking her why I was here and who I was, but she just shook her head and made me lay back down.
I was so confused, I grabbed her wrist and kept asking her questions. Each time she turned away and struggled to leave. Then she began to cry, which confused me even more. I let go, noticing how harsh I was being to someone I didn't even know. She ran off in a hurry and locked the door, ending my adventures for today.
I sighed and set my head on the wall asking if Taehyung had any idea as to what was going on.
"No, I don't. I have no idea what's going on either. What's worse is I can't even ask if this is normal, because I don't remember what IS normal." He spoke, worrying me even more as I went through the same scenarios as he did.
'Are we connected somehow? Is he even real? What do the doctors want? Why did she cry when I asked questions? What's going on?' I asked myself. I was so confused, nothing made sense.
I decided to take a small nap, as there was nothing else to do. When I woke back up, there were two glass doors to my right, exiting to a porch.
I walked outside and looked at the view of birds, trees, grass, and a bright blue sky. Everything was mesmerizing. I sketched drawings of everything I saw in my book and wrote down for day two.
Once I was done, I went back inside as I had been drawing and examining almost all day. I went back to my bed and fell asleep after saying goodnight to Taehyung.
Then I woke up, in the area I was looking at yesterday. I was walking with Taehyung, we were holding hands. He looked far different from what I had thought he looked like. The green trees and grass that surrounded us was even more beautiful up close. Then the trees started to grow. They grew closer and closer to us slowly suffocating us. I began to shrink, smaller and smaller until there was nothing left at all.
I jolted upright in the darkness, breathing hard and sweating. I knocked on the wall besides me, seeing if Taehyung was awake.
"... Hm? What's up Tzuyu?" He asked, making it obvious that he had been sleeping.
I looked down sadly, noticing he hadn't had the same dream as I had. I guess we didn't do the same things all of the time.
"I- I just had a nightmare that's all." I replied, with a shy tone.
I could hear a sigh come from the other side of the wall as I worried that he was annoyed with me.
"What happened? Do you remember?" Taehyung questioned.
"Well," I paused thinking of someone else I could substitute Taehyung for in my dream, not to seem too awkward. "in my dream, I was walking in the area I saw yesterday. The beautiful green area that seemed as if it had been built while I slept."
"Mhm, then what?" Taehyung asked, obviously intrigued.
"I was walking through the trees when they began to grow inwards, slowly getting closer and closer. Then I suffocated, slowly shrinking until I disappeared." I spoke, finishing my recollection of the dream.
Taehyung asked me if there was anything else in my dream, almost as if he knew I was hiding part of it.
"Well, I was walking with someone... A man. We were holding hands. He suffocated along with me." I answered him.
"Oh." He seemed to be disappointed somehow.
I sighed, and put my hand on the wall, trying to remember the feeling of holding his hand from my dream.
"Can I... Hold your hand Taehyung? Or, just put your hand on the wall." I asked, hoping he would oblige. At least then I might be able to feel his warmth considering how thin the wall was.
"Uh, yeah." Taehyung said, doing as I asked.
After a moment, I could feel his hand on the other side of the wall. It was quite warm and large, just as it was in my dream. I smiled at the sensation before taking my hand off.
"Thank you, you can take it off now." I said to Taehyung.
"I suppose we should go back to bed, to get a little bit more rest." Taehyung said, laying back down.
I nodded my head, even though he wouldn't see me, I knew he would hear the rustling of my sheets.
"Good night." I said to Taehyung.
"Good night Tzuyu." Taehyung replied.
