"Take it down!"
"Take it down!"
"Take it down!"

The chanting of the crowd lifted Princess Marinette's heart as the guards ordered the catapults to target the large wall that separated the Agreste and Dupain Kingdom. Thick ropes had also been tied to turrets of the barrier, the other end of the large ropes being held by citizens who long for some form of freedom. They stood a reasonable distance away from the wall so that the debris would not be able to fall upon them when the catapults found their target.

It was getting dark and the sun was just beginning to sleep. It had been a long day after all, what with the royal wedding of Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste taking place at the Dupain Kingdom. Thousands of guests had arrived at the castle, ecstatic at the idea of two successful royal soldiers finally finding their happy ending. After the wedding, the catapults were brought out. The wall was going to be taken down.

Parents huddled together with their children. Some youngsters even participated in holding the very end of the thick ropes, giving them a purpose in the breaking of the iron bars. Agreste soldiers stood on the other side of the wall, readying the catapult. Many Agreste citizens had followed, marching behind the weapons jubilantly.

Princess Marinette had to stop herself from crying tears of joy. The sight was just too beautiful— citizens crowding on either side of the wall, chanting and dancing for their unity. She pulled the veil off of her hair, watching as her cousin ordered soldiers to work the catapults.

Adrien insisted that the wall be taken down on their wedding day— he wanted the wall to be the final destruction between the Kingdoms that would bring their families together. Marinette found it ironic at first: destruction leading to creation. But it all made sense to her now when their people started to count down.

Ten, nine, eight...

Marinette turned to the gate and smiled at her husband on the other side who gave her a reassuring wink. The princess blushed, rushing to a group of her people holding the rope. She stood between a concerned couple and their child who refused to move to the end of the rope. Marinette stood in front of the child to protect him if ever the debris were to hit him (which was quite unlikely because they were a reasonable distance away from the wall).
