Jesse's POV
I felt myself returning back to reality as I opened my eyes to another cloudy day. The sun was taking a vacation today and in it's place there was rain and grey clouds again. I smiled light as I stretched and attempted to wake my body up more. Hanz started to shift too and he stretched with me. His eyelids lifted to reveal those beautiful, pearly eyes I could gaze into for pretty much an eternity. He hugged my left arm and he snuggled his head on my shoulder. I just smiled gently and stroked his hair with my prosthetic arm, enjoying his tired mood. I just laid there, thinking about what to do for the day. I yawned and my eyes became lazy as they closed again, too tired to do anything. We simply laid there with our heads blank and our bodies tired.
I decided to open my eyes again and the rays of light immediately pierced my vision. I squinted them in an attempt to adjust and I noticed Hanz doing the same. I smiled at him sloppily and I rubbed his head. His hair was a mess as his ribbon gripped onto it for dear life, trying to contain the beautifully messy locks. We pulled ourselves up completely and I stared at him. He began to shiver slightly and he wrapped his arms around himself. I smiled gently as my eyes adjusted to the light. I pulled him into my laps and snaked my arms around him, essentially warming him up. We both sighed in content, happy with where we currently were.
Eventually Hanz got up and went to the bathroom to clean himself up while I decided to go to the kitchen to put some food into my system. I reached for what looked like cereal and milk. Living in this place for a long time and can't even figure out the kitchen. I smirked at my inability to properly plot myself cereal.
I was in the dining table eating and Hanz walked over with pretty much the same thing and he smiled at me. He da next to me again and we just ate breakfast together.
___________________________
Me and Hanz already dressed up and started to walk to the store for some groceries. We walked, hand in hand. My mind was pretty blank as we walked. The sun was a very casual yellow, the kind that brushes the land in a color that shows that it's a normal day.
We passed the corner and I saw the store just down the road. But, I saw some people go by. They seemed to be a couple. I couldn't believe this thought didn't cross my mind. I saw that they were wearing a ring. A thought hit me and the casualty of the day drained away. I needed to go to the store alone later.

I'm going to do one of the most stupidly smart things possible.

This chapter is super sloppy and low quality but it's a trigger chapter. It initiates the heat. The gas you could say. Spill it everywhere and the chapter is the flame.
