Celestia: A few moons later, Chryssi had been watching Sombra grow and make friends, his first friend was a little filly named Jade Rose, they were so close and did everything together, yet Sombra was a different species...he aged much slower than the other ponies, so his friends surpassed him, but they still loved him all the same. Seeing the love, hope, and kindness of the ponies made Chryssi guilty of her promise. She liberated the changelings from under the power of the crystal ponies and let them go back home...now there was nothing that would justify her turning against her ponies....they had done nothing wrong...they did not deserve to be treated in such a way after everything they had been through, and perhaps finally...if she defeated Sombria...she could finally match up to her sister...and become an alicorn! Maybe, just then she would be good enough. As she was motivating herself and giving her the courage to fight something much bigger than her, she decided to set out early the next morning, and tell Sombria that she could not keep her promise....Chryssi knew full well Sombria wouldn't just let her go without a fight, and that Sombria would still be a threat to her ponies if by some chance she didn't have to battle her....so she had no choice....

Twilight: How is that possible?...Sombria's forces of magic are far more compelling than what Chryssi could possibly wield!

Luna: You mustn't underestimate her power Twilight,

Celestia: Indeed, sometimes what you think is the youngest and inexperienced pony holds the upper hoof in magic...Chryssi is much like my sister Luna, and I am much like our mother Galaxia..the beloved and more appreciated sister...yet the less powerful...you will see that this story is much like ours...

Starlight: But how did Chryssi do it?

Celestia: It was quite a struggle for her...even at the time she doubted herself that she could defeat Sombria, as cliche it is, love is the most powerful force in the world....the next morning Chryssi set out to call the deal off, even if it meant losing her horn. She arrived at the outskirts of town where winter met the kingdom and trodden through the deep snow, the wind was fierce and merciless, she wondered if she'd ever find her way back through the thick of the storm, yet she kept pushing through. Soon after it seemed like hours, she saw up ahead the dark crystals....she knew she was heading into dangerous territory, but there was no turning back now...

Chryssi: Sombria! I must have a word...

Celestia: After waiting for a couple of minutes, she saw up ahead Sombria's dark shadow...

Sombria: What brings you here? Miss me already?

Chryssi: That's not exactly why I'm here...

Sombria: What a pity, then why are you here?

Celestia: Chryssi thought for a moment, and tried to muster the courage she could find to tell Sombria that she couldn't keep her promise, perhaps she could convince Sombria not to attack the crystal ponies, but the chances of that were rather quite slim.

Chryssi: I cannot keep your promise

Celestia: The silence was harsh...stressful...Chryssi had no idea where this would lead to, but she was ready to fight if need be, finally, Sombria spoke.

Sombria: Is this a joke? Are you playing me a fool?

Chryssi: No, I am serious, I cannot keep your promise, and I am also here to keep you from attacking the crystal ponies, they've been through too much already! I know you hold a grudge, but they are willing to give you a chance, they gave Sombra one, they'll forgive you too.

Sombria: FORGIVE? AFTER WHAT THEY DID TO MY FAMILY YOU WANT ME TO BE THE ONE TO APOLOGIZE???!!! I KNEW IT FROM THE START!! YOU ARE TOO WEAK AND PATHETIC TO CARRY OUT OUR PLAN!!
