NEW CHAPTER
I couldn't believe what they were saying. How could they do that to me? Why would they do that to me? Not to mention, it was completely and utterly insane plus extremely sexist. It's official: I hate men.
---48 hours earlier----
" When are we gonna get there?" I asked, bored. Josiah looked at me, completely bored and annoyed.
" We'll get there when we get there, Arianna. Now, eat. You need to keep up your strength to get that to heal properly," he answered, gesturing at my bandaged hand. It'd given me quite the shock when my mother had redone the bandages and I'd seen the letters that Daniel had traced out that night. What he believed I was. But Mother had said that the cuts were healing nicely but that I would have scars for the rest of my life. I wasn't sure if she meant mental or physical or maybe both. But for sure, he had scarred me mentally and I was extremely unsure of myself. Maybe I was what he had etched into my hand. TRAITOR.
I looked at it nervously and at the food. A lot of fruit with bread, butter and cheese. I grabbed a slice and some grapes and started eating. My hand was sore and throbbed occasionally but it could have been infected or worse and for that, I was extremely grateful.
After I was done eating, I closed my eyes and fell asleep. This is how it went for the next 2 days, I drank, ate and answered questions about my life in the village.
The Guildhouse was a castle. On the gate was the symbol of the reincarnation( Picture on side). All the Priests wore it and if legends were true, it would appear on the palm of my hand as soon as I stepped into the building. The carriage rolled in and I saw a huge amount of Priests waiting in neat lines.
I took a deep breath and grabbed my bag before following Father Josiah out. As soon as I touched the ground, my right palm started burning. I started to clench my hand and soon it was done.
" Reincarnation," the one in the front said and all of them bowed. I felt extremely nervous and my armpits started to sweat bad.
" Uh.... Hi?" I had never felt more nervous in my life. What was I supposed to do? To say? Mother never taught me what to do when the Priests are bowing to you.
Josiah patted my arm. " Brothers, you might want to relax. You're creeping her out."
" Understatement of the year," I muttered. Josiah chuckled as they straightened up. The one in the front chuckled as he came forward.
" Reincarnation, I am Brother Elias. Welcome to the Guildhouse!" he bowed.
I curtseyed. " Thank you, Brother Elias. I'm Arianna but everyone calls me Ari."
A smile appeared on his face and he reminded me of a man from a village who ran an inn called the Dancing Dove who'd always given me candy whenever I'd come over.
" You will be a great reincarnation, Lady Arianna. I can see that now."
I blushed bright red. " You can just call me Ari, Brother Elias. And I'm definetely not a lady."
He looked at me and smiled like he knew something I didn't. I was shown to my chambers that was definetely more luxurious than the ones I'd seen my entire life.
The first thing I saw was a small living room with a roaring fire that spread warmth all over the room. A comfortable armchair was in front of it with a table that had what seemed to be my dinner on top. There were bookshelves crammed with books all over and a desk with paper, quills, ink and everything.
I walked through a set of French doors into my bedroom. The bed was a kingsized and looked extremely comfortable with silk sheets and satin coverings. There was a wardrobe in the side and when I opened it, I found it filled to the brim with men clothing.
This is a Guildhouse filled with men. These clothing are probably for those men.
I closed the wardrobe and set down my rucksack next to the bed before going back to the living room. I chose a book that looked interesting before curling up in front of the fire and enjoying my dinner while reading a romance book.
The fire flickered and was about to die out when I finished my book. I yawned and looked over at the large grandfather clock in the corner in the room. It was almost eleven o'clock in the evening. I was definetely ready to go to bed.
I got up and closed the French Doors behind me as I walked into the bedroom. I pulled on my nightgown and climbed into the softest bed I've ever been on before resting my head on the pillow and falling insantly asleep.
I groaned as I felt the light shine into my eyes. I cuddled up to the thick fleece blanket underneath the satin covers.
Suddenly, my hand felt like it was on fire! And for some reason it wasn't my injuried maimed one but the one that had burned strangely when I'd entered the Guildhouse.
I scrambled up to look at it and let out a loud scream. On my palm was a tattoo. Strange thing is that I don't remember getting one.....

Sorry. I haven't updated this in 2 years but comments really get me off my ass, reread and look at my drafts. Since I'm a senior, not a sophomore anymore, my writing is better plus I'm taking a Creative Writing class so even if this is short, it's sweet.
