"Come on, it'll be fun," Jay says tugging my arm, executing the perfect set of puppy dog eyes.
"How did you even find it?" I sigh, crashing next to Bec on my bed, waiting for this perfectly convoluted explanation about how they found this hidden cove.
"Well, Jay and I were wondering around Manly like we usually do..." Dylan starts, a laugh leaving my lips, already anticipating where this story might go. To my amusement, I was right. The boys explained how they were "goofing around," leading the police to find their way to them. Didn't I tell ya? Not a day without stupidity. Anyway, apparently, they managed to outrun them, ditching them through a bush path. Those two being the idiots that they were decided to continue the path and adventure on, leading them to discover the cove.
"So, you're tell me there is some cove that no one knows about that you bumbling idiots managed to find?" Anna raises her eyebrow, Bec and I trying to cover the laughter escaping us.
"It may sound unbelievable Doll but it's true," Jay winks at Anna, her retorting with a huff, rolling her eyes.
"I think it might be fun to explore this Hidden Cove they have found. You never know, we might even stumble across some buried treasure," Bec smirks, nudging my side, I still thinking it's a dumb idea.
"I'll come. Someone has to make sure these two don't get in trouble," Anna says, leaving the two boys to look at me, both with stupid smiles on their faces.
"Fine! But if we get arrested I blame you," I say, the boys tackling me down, squeezing me tight, Anna and Bec laughing as they begin to get ready to go.
The ride was just down the road, perks of living so close to the beach. We piled off the crowded bus, migrating towards the familiar Manly Beach. The day was a typical summer's day. Temperature above 30, people about and the beach packed with tourists and locals.
Straying off the normal path we would take that being towards the Manly surf, we head towards Shelly beach, a ten-minute walk along the wharf. The sun glared straight into my eyes, deciding it was time to slip on the sunnies. I could just feel my pale af skin burning in the Aussie sun. Clearly, I didn't inherit the wog gene from my dad. I throw my towel over my shoulders, sadly covering the cute new halter-neck bikini I'm wearing. Though it's nothing compared to Bec's. Blessed with the most beautiful tanned skin she can wear anything, including this black bikini, showing off her jaw dropping six pack. I'm slowly getting there, sadly my friend called chocolate decides to come around a lot. Anna's a bit more conservative when it comes to swimwear but that doesn't stop her from being gorgeous. She's wearing her new navy blue one piece, and is totally rocking it. I glace up to find the boys a couple of metres ahead, messing around. You'd think they were brothers the way they acted.
"Don't tell me their hidden cove is Shelly or I'm gonna be pissed," Anna scoffs, watching as we get closer to the beach.
"We'll least get a beach day out of it either way," I smile, the ocean breeze flushing out my nerves.
"Come on guys!" Jay calls out.
"We're so close!" Dylan adds, the two barely able to contain their excitement, running up to drag us along. We laugh as push past the tourist, the sand sinking through my toes as we cross the beach. I watch as the boys begin to climb up the rocks, Jay helping up Anna and Bec, reaching his hand out to me.
"I can get up myself," I say, chucking up my towel and bag up to him. Smirking I easily made my way up, Jay laughing as I reach his side.
"What can't you do?" he jokes.
