Lilliana's parents have always wanted the best for her. When she was only a baby, Oscar and Evanora Avery had already chosen Lilliana's fate. They met with the Malfoy's, who had a son their daughters age. They decided to keep a pureblood status going, they would arrange Lilliana's marriage with the Malfoy boy, Draco. They also decided not to say a word to either of them until the time was right. The four adults hope was that over time Draco and Lilliana would fall in love, and the plans for an arranged marriage would never be revealed. Draco and Lilliana would spend insufferable amounts of time together until the age of 11 when they would begin to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. By then the pair would be isolated from others so much, that they would be each others only friend. Luckily for everyone involved, the plan seemed to be working. Lilliana's first childhood memory is with none other than Draco Malfoy. They were together in the Malfoy Manor when Lucius Malfoy came bursting through the doors, screaming for his wife to come quickly. Narcissa Malfoy came bursting through the manor to find her husband, and when she did he delivered the worst news of their lives.

"Narcissa! It's all over! The Dark Lord is dead! Killed by a baby, no less! We're going to Azkaban!" Lucius cried. Narcissa took his hand into hers and gently soothed him until Oscar and Evanora apparated in. Upon seeing the terrified expressions her parents wore, Lilliana began to cry. She didn't understand anything that was going on, but she knew her parents were extremely scared. When Draco heard Lilliana, his truest companion's wails, he too began to sob. Narcissa and Evanora, respectfully, rushed to their children's sobs while the two men discussed what would be done in Wizarding Court.

The final decision was to say everything they did for the Dark Lord was done under the Imperious Curse. It was a solid lie, and it would more than likely protect them from the hell that was Azkaban. They also decided to carry on their lives as usual and mourn the loss of their leader at night. Lilliana and Draco still could not understand and wriggled out of their parent's laps to crawl on the floor instead. The only words they knew were "Mama, Dada, Dray, and Lilli," but they seemed to be very proud of the four words they could speak. Before long, Draco and Lilliana had worn themselves out with playing and wanted nothing more than to curl up in their cribs and go to bed. They tugged at their mother's ankles and looked at them pleadingly until Evanora apparated home with Lilliana in her arms, and finally put her to rest after a very exhausting day, while Narcissa traveled through the maze that is the Malfoy Manor with Draco crying quite loudly in her pale arms. After walking for at least 5 minutes, she set Draco into his crib and sung him lullabies until his heavy eyes closed for the night.

The next morning was no different for Draco and Lilliana. When Lilliana woke up, Evanora gave her to a house elf called Dobby, so he could bathe her. When Dobby returned with the child, Evanora had spent the whole time picking out an outfit for the young girl to wear. She dried Lilliana completely and then dressed in her the chosen outfit. She sat Lilliana in her playroom and told Dobby to watch her for a moment. Evanora apparated away and in 10 minutes time, she apparated back. Only this time she was clutching Draco in her arms. She placed Draco next to Lilliana before bending down and kissing her on the forehead.

"Be good, Lilliana, Mama will be back soon. Dobby watch over them and get them what they need while we are gone. None of us can be here today, there are things we need to attend to. Let no one in this house." She gave Dobby a sharp look before turning to Lilliana and Draco and giving them a sickly sweet smile. Evanora quickly apparated back to the Malfoy Manor where the two couples devised their plan and stories to stay out of Azkaban.

This kind of thing continued for many weeks until the day of the Avery's and Malfoy's court hearing. Their judge was Barty Crouch. The pairs had decided to bring Draco and Lilliana along in hopes to gain pity points with Barty. Their elaborately planned story went perfectly and no detail was left unchecked. The many other loyal death-eaters saw straight through the two powerful families, but they didn't dare say anything in fear of being sold out. No one truly believed either families words, but there was nothing that could be done. There was no proof that the Imperious Curse hadn't been casted, so the families got to go home, safe and sound. As the years passed, Draco and Lilliana's heads were filled with ideals against anyone that wasn't a pureblood. The only friends the two of them were to have were other pureblood Slytherins. Regardless, Draco and Lilliana continued to grow closer. They knew everything there was to know about each other. They had been each others only companions since diapers. They had the exact same opinions, and never once had they fought. Lilliana and Draco had the perfect friendship. However, strangely enough, they had never felt like siblings. They knew they weren't and Lilliana had said it felt wrong to think of Draco as a brother because he was obviously her best friend. Time quickly passed for the two, and before either of them knew it, it was time to begin their schooling at Hogwarts. They both presumed this would be the perfect time to find some people to join their pureblooded Slytherin group. When the two families arrived in Diagon Alley, the parents quickly introduced the kids to another pair of first years, Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe. These two were accepted into Draco and Lilliana's posse, and the four were shopping together for their books and such. Obviously, money was not an issue for any of the four members, and they found themselves buying the things they needed, and whatever caught their wandering eye. Before too long, Draco had dragged them into Madam Malkin's to be fitted for new robes. Crabbe and Goyle had already been fitted, so they ran off to buy ice creams. Draco and Lilliana were going to look at Quidditch brooms after being fitted. Draco thought it was an outrage that first years couldn't have their own brooms, however, Lilliana didn't care too much. She didn't really play, and she much preferred cheering Draco on. After a bit of chatter between the two, another boy walked in. He had black ruffled hair and piercing green eyes. Lilliana thought he was quite cute, but she didn't dare to say anything. Madam Malkin put the boy on the foot stool next to theirs.

"Hello," Draco drawled before asking the boy if he was going to Hogwarts. Lilliana was very surprised Draco spoke to him before finding out his blood status. The boy gave very short replies, but Lilliana could no longer take it.

She sharply turned her head to the boy, "What is your blood status?" He seemed very confused like he didn't know what she meant. That scared her very much because now she felt as if he was a mudblood. He looked at her, and then looked out the window to a very tall man with a large beard. The man was holding ice creams, and he nodded at them and then nodded to Harry. "Oh, dear, that's not your father, is it?" Lilliana questioned, suddenly feeling very ill.

"Oh, no. That's Hagrid, he works at Hogwarts," the boy explained. Lilliana breathed a sigh of relief before softening her eyes at Draco for a moment.

Draco quickly spoke up, "I've heard of him. Isn't he a servant?" Draco questioned with a slight undertone of amusement.

The boy suddenly got very defensive, and Lilliana did not like the tone he was speaking to Draco with. "He is not a servant. He is the games-keeper." The boy obviously felt proud of the man for that accomplishment. Draco had a very disgusted look on his face, while Lilliana felt she might have turned completely green. She felt such pity for this boy.

"Well, where are your parents? I don't believe you ever answered Lilliana." Draco pressed further for the answer of the boy's blood status. The boy's previously hardened face softened at the mention of his parents.

"They're dead," he spoke. Lilliana nor Draco felt any sadness for the boy, but they both apologized for the boy's dead parents anyway. Truly, Lilliana couldn't care less. She felt as if it were the boy's parent's fault. She reckoned they were right gits to be dead with their son only 11.

"But, they were wizards, weren't they?" Lilliana was growing rather impatient for an answer. She also felt the boy was so daft that he was no longer cute. He looked at her again in that odd way of his, and if she had known any hexes, she would've hexed him right then.

"Yes, they were," the boy finally answered. Lilliana heaved a sigh of relief. Even if the boy was as smart as a box of rocks, she could tolerate him along with Crabbe and Goyle.

"Well, we're going to be in Slytherin. I hope to see you there with us. It would be a delight," she said with a fake smile plastered on her face. She jumped down from the stool, not even bothering to see if Madam Malkin was done. "Come on, Draco. I'm ready to leave," she ordered. He quickly hopped down, and they both waved goodbye to the strange boy. Lilliana felt very grateful that didn't have to endure one more second with that insufferable boy. As she walked out of Madam Malkin's, she gave the large oaf a sneer before strutting away to the nearest broom shop with Draco by her side.
