This was it. This was the morning that would change lives forever. Lilliana and Draco were ecstatic to finally be going to Hogwarts. The young girl quickly shot out of bed at 6:00 A.M., and she dashed for the bathroom. She called for Dobby to bring her towels before beginning to soak in their large porcelain tub. At 6:45 A.M., Lilliana Avery was out of the bath and had forced Dobby to use magic to dry her. She checked her trunk for everything she would need. After a few minutes, she seemed satisfied and arranged everything in the trunk again.
She turned to her newest investment, Essak. He was a gray horned owl, and she was quite proud of him. She was convinced she would have the prettiest and most competent owl out of every first year. Lilliana opened the bird's cage, but reminded him to be back in the cage at no later than 8:30 A.M. Lilliana was perfectly sure everything was prepared for Hogwarts and it was barely 7. She quickly decided to force her mum to apparate Draco in. She pranced into the main foyer where her mother and father sat reading the Daily Prophet.
"Good morning, Mum. Good morning, Daddy," Lilliana smiled as she spoke. Oscar only nodded his head, but her mother spoke a good morning in return. After a moment's glance at Lilliana, they went back to reading the paper. Lilliana loudly huffed and stomped her foot. She would not be ignored.
Oscar rolled his eyes before yanking his paper down from his face. He looked at his daughter, "What, Lilliana?" She smiled because normally it was her mother that gave in.
"Daddy.. can you apparate and ask the Malfoy's to join us? I would love to see Draco," she asked her already impatient father. He rolled his eyes again, only this time she saw. It quite saddened her, and her face quickly fell. She had made her father angry, and she already regretted asking.
"God, Lilliana. No. I will not apparate. You will see that boy in a few hours! If that's all you wanted, leave. Have a house elf make you breakfast," he huffed out, ending the conversation. Lilliana was no longer as happy as she was when she woke up. She nodded her head as her father lifted his paper back up. She walked out of the foyer and into the kitchen where she asked a house elf to fix her a fried egg. The house elf quickly obliged and soon her stomach was no longer rumbling. She wished her mum and dad had come to eat with her. She made her way into her room where she sat on the edge of her bed feeling completely defeated. Before Lilliana knew it, it was 8:30, and Errek was swooping in. She smiled at the bird before stroking him.
Suddenly, her father burst in and grabbed her trunk. "Come, Lilliana. It is time to leave. Grab that bloody bird." he said, not even bothering to see if she would obey. Lilliana grabbed the top of Errek's cage and followed after her father. After about two hours of being in a muggle contraption, a taxi, it was called, they arrived at King's Cross Station. Lilliana suddenly felt very excited again. Mostly to finally be going to Hogwarts, but also because she would be seeing Draco. She grabbed her owl and rushed out of the car. Her parents were not far behind, and Oscar yelled at her to grab a trolley. She did as she was told, and her father set her trunk onto the trolley before she set Errek on the trolley as well.
She clutched her ticket to the Hogwarts Express tightly in her hand as she pushed the trolley. Her mother and father were guiding her this time because she wasn't sure how to get to her destination. Soon, the three of them were facing the wall between platforms 9 and 10. When she turned her head to ask for her parents what to do, they were gone. Sadness washed over Lilliana, and she wished Draco were here. Soon, another family approached her area. She quickly recognized them as the Weasley's and felt as if they day could not get worse. Her father had warned her to stay away from them. They were muggle sympathizers. Her father called the lot of them poor and disgusting, and Lilliana saw no reason to disagree. However, right now, she needed them.
The oldest red haired woman approached Lilliana. "Are you scared to board, or do you not know how?" She questioned.
Lilliana held back to urge to roll her eyes and walk away. "I don't know how to enter the platform. Could you please help?" She voiced, sounding as sweet as she could. That's when she saw him. That boy. She wanted to rip all her hair out and scream for hours. Lilliana could not believe that insufferable git was here. He walked up to them looking very confused and asked if they were wizards. Lilliana felt as if she may die.
The older woman smiled, "Yes, dear. We were just about to show this one how to reach the platform." He saw her then, and she could tell he was not all that happy to see her.
"Where's that other boy you were with?" He asked her. Although she was not sure why he asked. It was obvious he didn't really care where Draco was.
"He is already on the train, waiting for me no doubt. So, could you please show me how? I don't want to be late." Lilliana said as nicely as she could. However, it still came out very rude. Lilliana could not find it in her to care. Molly nodded her head and spoke to the twins. Lilliana didn't listen because frankly, she didn't care. She watched as the twins ran into the wall, and she assumed they were now on Platform 9 3/4. "Thanks," Lilliana said before running into the platform.
To say the Hogwarts Express wasn't stunning would be a lie. Lilliana was mesmerized by everything about the platform. She could not dwell though and quickly began to board. She struggled to get her luggage on without her parent's help, but she managed alone as she had for years. She rushed down the main part of the train searching every compartment for Draco. He saw her first and called her name out. Lilliana whipped her head back around and ran straight for Draco. She slammed herself into him, grasping him in a tight hug.
"Oh! I'm so glad to see you!!" Lilliana exclaimed. Draco chuckled at her behavior.
"Lilli, it's been less than a day. You can't have missed me too much." He responded.
"I did miss you so much! I had the worst morning without you. I'm just so glad to finally be here. Let's get in the compartment, and I'll explain everything." Lilliana said as she and Draco walked into the compartment that was also filled with Crabbe and Goyle.
