"How terrible. I feel awful for you, Lilliana. I can't believe you had the displeasure of speaking to the Weasley's. They are some of the worst purebloods." Draco said while rolling his eyes. Crabbe and Goyle grunted in agreement.
"Oh, well, at least I'm here now," Lilliana said. Suddenly a boy ran into the compartment and looked at the four of them wildly.
"Have you heard?! Harry Potter is on the train!" He breathed out. Lilliana gasped. Harry Potter was a huge celebrity, and he would make a good friend she imagined.
Draco jumped up. "Do you mind showing us his compartment? We would love to meet him," he asked trying to be polite, but it still sounded quite rude. The boy shrugged his head and nodded. He stepped out of the compartment and motioned for the group to follow. The boy led the group of four to a different compartment and inside sat none other than Harry Potter and a Weasley. Draco rolled his eyes and opened the door.
"Hello. You must be Harry Potter. I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. This is Crabbe, Goyle, and Lilliana." Draco spoke to the pair. The Weasley giggled at Draco's name. "Think my name is funny, do you? Take a look at yourself. Hand me down robes, red hair, you must be a Weasley." Draco snarled while Crabbe and Goyle nodded in agreement. The ginger looked positively insulted and looked away.
"Harry, you'll find some wizarding families are better than others. We can help you with that." Draco stated before stretching out his hand. Harry looked Draco up and down, and then he looked at the ginger. He shook his head.
"I think I can figure it out for myself, thanks," Harry said before looking away. Lilliana was shocked, Harry should have known that the Malfoy's were a very important family in the wizarding world.
"Are you joking? Would you rather be friends with him than us? Has he told you something about us?" Lilliana questioned. Harry nodded his head.
"I am not joking. Ron seems like a fine friend to have, and you lot seem quite rude. Nothing he said just your foul personality." Harry sassed. Lilliana felt very sad at those words. She was just doing as her father said to make friends. She wasn't sure what she was doing wrong, but she had never been told her personality was foul.
"Oh. Of course. Right then. We'll be going then, I suppose. See you at Hogwarts." Lilliana said before walking out of Harry's compartment. Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle quickly followed after her.
After the four had left, Ron spoke to Harry again, "I think you upset Lilliana Avery. I've never seen her be anything but rude, but just then she seemed positively sad."
"Oh, I didn't mean to upset her. It's just she really seemed horrible. Plus, the things Malfoy said about your family were awful. I had to stand up for you, didn't I?" Harry answered. Suddenly, a girl busted into their compartment.
"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger. I have two things to ask you both." Harry and Ron nodded for her to go on, "Have you seen a toad? Also, why did a girl come crying out of your compartment?" Ron's mouth dropped open. Harry felt awful.
"No, we haven't seen a toad. About the girl crying.. was it bad?" Ron asked.
"Quite bad, she seemed very upset. I hope you didn't say anything too awful to her." Hermione stated before turning around and leaving. Ron and Harry gave each other pitiful looks. A few compartments down, Lilliana Avery was drying her own tears while Draco held her hand.
"He's just a foul git, and he won't ever make you cry again, Lilliana," Draco promised while stroking her hand. Lilliana looked up at him with red eyes and tear-stained cheeks before smiling.
"Thank you, Draco. You're the best friend I will ever have," Lilliana said before wrapping her arms around his figure. She abruptly stood up, "I'm going to go get my robes on." She turned and left the compartment before finding the changing area. She promised herself that Draco was right. She would never forgive Harry Potter for the things he said about her. She certainly didn't need him, and she never would. He was a much fouler git than she had ever imagined him to be.
When she returned to the compartment, Draco already had his robes on, and Crabbe and Goyle had returned with theirs on as well. She smiled at them and sat down next to Draco. Lilliana rested her head on the window and rested until the train finally arrived at Hogsmeade Station.
"Lilliana, wake up!" Draco said while shaking the girl, "We're here." Lilliana's eyes widened in excitement. As long as she could remember, she had been looking forward to going to Hogwarts. Lilliana was more than excited.
