a short story, grammar and spelling have not been checked.

Screaming is boring.

So is listening to it.

Day in and out.

I’m Harry and I’m 9.

I didn’t want to write this, but Gemma wanted me to.

I like Gemma.

I hope she’s okay.

Gemma said that Mum and Dad would get better.

She said that I will get out of here and find some real friends.

Gemma said that one day we’ll go to a better place.

Do you think she’s in that place now?

I miss you Gemma.

Mum said that her black eye was from a golf ball.

I knew dad did it really.

Mum cried.

Over Gemma, and I cried too.

When I’m older I want to make people happy who are sad.

I want to make people feel they are worth something.

To me.

Homework is boring and I hate being 9.

Dad’s scary.

I wonder what Gemma’s doing.

Is she happy?

I want her to be.

I promised Gemma that I wouldn’t give up on my dreams.

I’m Sorry Gemma.

I miss you.

If you were here we could both hide in the spare bedroom and cry together but now I’m alone and when dad shouts I have no one to hold anymore, why did you have to leave me Gemma why? I can’t do this, I can’t comfort mum anymore and I miss you.
