As we drove down the rocky gravel road. I looked out the window with a big grin. I was happy to be leaving this place. I thought as we drove past the sign. "Deer River Farms" as I read the sign.
"Hey, Cali." My mom said with a questioning look on her face and in her eyes.
I replied with a confused look. "What?"
"Do you think you will like the new barn?" My mom asked with a happy yet still questioning look on her face.
"I think I will like mom. I truly do." I said with a happy expression on my face. As I turned to look at her.
******** My mom started to turn the wheel and look at the sign that read "Silver Lake Stables." I had realized it had been at least 20 minutes since we left the other barn.
I knew about this barn since it is right across the street from my house so it was easier to get there.
I would start my lessons today as well. So as soon as we got to the top of the drive way. I got out of the truck and got Trixxy out of the trailer and lead her to the entrance of the barn. There I meet a girl she said "Hello welcome to SLS. You must be Cali Calvin. And this is Trixxy I presume."

"How did you know my name? And yes this is Trixxy." I said with confusion in my eyes as I look at her.
"Well, the owner of the barn said a new girl would coming and her name is Cali Calvin. She owns a horse named Trixxy. So that's how I know you. Hi, I'm Lilly Taylor I ride here. So let me show you to your stall." Lilly said with excitement in her eyes and in her smile.
So I followed her and behind me followed Trixxy. Lilly brought me to Trixxy's new stall. And left me to finish. I lead Trixxy into her stall and clipped her lead rope from her halter. I walked out of her stall and went to go get her blankets, riding gear, bridle, girth, martingale, saddle pad, her wraps, and her saddle. I put all her stuff in her locker next to her stall and went to say good bye to my mom.
As my mom drove I turned around and went to Trixxy's stall which now had her name mon it. I entered her stall and started to brush when I heard someone come up to my stall.
"Hey, you must be Cali and this is your horse." He said as I looked up at him and saw a pair of bright blue eyes and a perfect smile.
I smiled and said, "Yes and who shall you be?"
"My name is Matthew Lemmings. I ride Soot right across from you. He is a very different horse if you know what I mean." He said as he smiled back at me. I got up after picking Trixxy's hooves and looked over at Soot.

^This is Soot "He's a pretty horse if I do say so my self." I said as I looked into Matthew's crystal blue eyes.
Matthew nodded back at me.
He turned around and asked when my lesson was. I answered saying "in 30 minutes, do you have one today, too?"
He replied with, "Yes I do. It is also in 30 minutes. So we will. So we will be riding together then."
"Yep we are in deed." I answered with a excited tone to my voice.
Matthew went off to get ready. Leaving me to continue brushing Trixxy. I finished brushing Trixxy and started to tack up. I didn't bridle yet I still had at least 10 minutes until I have to get on. So I waited for Matthew to finish.
And we talked for a little, then we got ourselves ready for our lesson and waited a little longer.
Then we bridled up and headed out the back of the barn to the outdoor arena. And waited to hop on to our horses.
