-Bloodtears's point of view -

"There-there has to be another way! Please tell me there's another way!" Bloodtears stuttered shakily. She was staring at her front talons in fear.

Starflight looked at her direction with a sympathetic and sorrowful look.

"I'm sorry... we've been searching for hours. Cutting it off seems to be the only way to get rid of it... other than you and Clay falling in love, but i'm afraid that's not gonna happen soon enough." He told her solemnly.

Bloodtears was filled with anger, but... mostly fear.

She closed her eyes as tightly as she could, but still a few tears escaped and slipping down her cheeks.

"Hey... atleast you wont die...Erm...right...?" Gleam tried to tell her with her nervous but 'trying to be reassuring' smile that was totally not reassuring, as she reached toward her.

She didn't answer for a couple moments, until she then felt someone put their talon on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and looked up, seeing Clay.

"We'll try to make it as painless as possible. We promise." The handsome mudwing said as kindly as possible. Bloodtears didn't look up at their faces.

-LOD's point of view-

They had given Bloodtears a load of painkillers, then given her sleeping darts before and after cutting her front tallon off. She was now sleeping in the infirmary, still in Jade Mountain where her front tallon used to be is now just a stub, cut a little bit below the wrist, now covered with bandages. Clay and gleam where near her, waiting for her to wake up. She had been sleeping for about an hour now. They had gotten a temporary wooden talon for her in the meantime. It was a simple wooden one, that bent at the wrist to allow her to walk.

Clay and Gleam were chatting when Bloodtears started to wake up. She raised her head and yawned, then looked at the wooden talon where her own leg was cut off.

"What did you do with it?" she asked out of the her dazed mind, looking at her tribemate and the Mudwing in front of her.

"We burnt it," Clay answered.

"The black ooze came out of it. It made some kind of screeching pain before bubbling and retreating into the stone." Clay cringed at the thought, sending an unsettled shudder up his spine.

"Oh..." she whispered softly, then looking at the wooden prosthetic.

"It's to help you walk. It's only temporary, until you can get a better one." Gleam paused,

"Only the wrist part can move, so I'm sorry we couldn't get you proper moveable claws. Other than that works fine though." Gleam had told her, pulling the tallon forwards away from the adjusting body of Bloodtears.

Bloodtears looked away from them though.

"Thanks..." she said dryly. It was hard to tell what she was feeling or thinking.

Clay frowned sympathetically at her.

"I'm sorry, but there was no other way to stop the infection..." He told her, glancing occasionally at the prosthetic talon.

Bloodtears didn't look up at him.

"At least i'm not dead..." she responded quietly.

Clay was about to say something else but then was interrupted by a female voice saying-

"What's going on?"In a curious kind of tone. They all looked in the direction of the voice.

At the door stood a female seawing, who had deep blue and green eyes, and a single pinkish purple pearl necklace around her neck, accompanied by a smaller one around her left horn. Two other dragons accompanied her.

One was a male Skywing, who looked a little odd. He was an orange-silver like colour, with yellow eyes and a scar on the underside of his snout, another on his neck and a final on his tail.

And a female Icewing was with them also. she was a great white and had odd stripes on her body, that where the color of the purest ice. A long mane and tail, whom are the same color of her stripes. She also had the turquoise eyes to go with it.
