(ok, I am getting a little tired of saying a full sentence that says which character we're following around. So if we're just following Clay and Bloodtears around, I'm just going to say that 'LOD' means Lovers of Destiny, which stands for both of them. This is easier than saying 'Clay and Bloodtears' ect. If it's just one character, it's just gonna be their name with Clay's point of view at first, and Bloodtears' point of view ext.)

(Ok, first I am aware I threw you all into chapter 10 without even teaching you about the black ooze, so i'll teach you all about it before we jump into this week's chapter.)

(Firstly, how it turns dragons insane: It increases their fears making it as if they were worrying about something for months all at once. It has to be either on the spine, which is where signals are sent up from the body to the brain, or directly into the skull. So that's why in Clay's dream, Bloodtears's black ooze trailed up from her claw to her head.)

(Here's how it's spread, or how dragons can get infected: The black ooze is like a parasite. It looks for a host and if that host dies, it goes to the last dragon the host has touched, hence why Bloodtears became infected, as she was the last one to touch Pineapple.)

(Symptoms- Black ooze forms in the place it was infected; the infected dragon does not turn insane until it reaches the spine or brain; odd noises such as clicking and other noises; bloodshot eyes as if they haven't slept in weeks, but this part is only when the ooze reaches the spine or skull. There aren't many symptoms before the infection reaches the spine.)

(Ok, now onto Chapter 11)

-lod's point of view-

Bloodtears felt like her life was shattering before her very eyes. Was she going to have to die before the infection did its true evil? Is there a way to stop it? Or was death the only way to cure her?

"Bl-bloodtears...?" Gleam tried to get her attention, reaching out for her.

"Don't touch me!" Bloodtears suddenly shouted, making Gleam jump back and recoil.

Bloodtears then ran out of the library, dragging Clay out with her as he was shouting,

"Bloodtears, wait! Stop!" he tried weighing her down. "Bloodtears, calm down!" he told her, trying to tug the translucent ribbon to stop the fleeing Rainwing.

Bloodtears turned around, her eyes welling up with tears, making her cheeks wet as they rolled down them.

" HOW CAN I BE CALM WHEN I KNOW I'M GOING TO DIE?" She yelled in between sobs...

"IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID PROPHECY! NO ONE WILL EVEN CARE IF I D-!" Bloodtears was cut off by Clay hugging her. She was at first startled by the sudden hug, but she caught herself hugging him back with her talons clenched.

"I would care if you die, Gleam would care." Clay murmured to her as kindly, and as soothing as possible. These words made Bloodtears lose it.

" would care" The tears felt like they where never gonna stop, she found herself burying her head in Clay's neck as she cried, letting him hug her.

This went on for a couple more minutes as Clay comforted her the whole time. Once the tears stopped coming, Bloodtears realised... she felt safe and protected in Clay's arms. Was this becuase she never really got hugs? Or...was it something... else?

Bloodtears then pulled out of the hug and wiped her tears away from her now soaked cheeks.

"Th-thank you... for that..." She whispered dryly, backing up a little bit away from Clay.

He nodded with an understanding expression.

"You needed it. I understand what it's like to think that you might die with no hope." Clay told her through a thin smile, looking at his thigh which held the large scar, giving him his oh so famous limp.

"You need to have hope in the people you trust in life. You have no idea what life will throw at you. Now, let's get back to that library and find a cure, or something to stop this infection from spreading." The mudwing suggested, trying to give her at least some hope in the situation. Clay suddenly realised he was holding her talons in his, then somewhere in the middle he let them go.

Bloodtears and Clay then made there way back to the library, and after hours and hours of research, the four dragons found the answer they were never expected to find...

They had to amputate her leg...
