I just finished Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and now I need to write fanfiction.
I don't even know if this is in a mortal AU or the normal universe. Could be either of them, actually.
Ugh. I don't know if I should write in the he- or the I-form.
He saw the letter immediately. [Okay, he-form, thus. (Did I use thus good? Hmm...)]
The blond, sunkissed boy had just comen back from his work in the hospital and had entered the apartment he and his boyfriend, Nico, shared, when he saw a folded piece of paper, lying on the wooden table. [Mmm, mahogany maybe?]
He walked towards the paper. His name, Will, was written in his boyfriend's elegant handwriting.
His heart skipped a beat. Why would Nico leave him a letter? Was something wrong?
He unfolded the paper.
Will, my sunshine, my love,
You are the light that brightens my day. You light up my soul in the darkest hours of the night.
You are my sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.
I want to thank you.
When my thoughts were dark,
you were there for me.
When I was depressed and hated myself and everything I stood for,

When my heart was crushed and I couldn't find myself,

When my soul was being sucked into the gloomy depths of my mind,

His sight was blurred because of the silent tears who streamed down his face and fell onto the sheet of paper.
The floor cracked and he turned around, seeing his beautiful boyfriend, on one knee, holding a black box.
Ugh. It's - O MY GODS YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE IS PLAYING AAAAAAAAGH ASDFGHJKL THIS HAPPENED THE LAST TIME TOO- way too short, but okay.
Did you like it? I really like this one. This is the first one-shot I began with, but I wasn't satisfied yet, so I posted the other ones first.
Also, does anyone remember when Leo described Nico's hair as "baby batwings", in the House of Hades?
