I wrote this because I just needed fluff
It's a mortal AU where Nico and Will live together in an apartment
Will pov
It was a warm summer day when I decided that I wanted to surprise Nico. It was my day off, but Nico was still working. [What would his job be?] I went to the supermarket to buy everything I needed for the perfect date.
At seven o'clock I heard the words 'Will, I'm home!' coming from the corridor. I rushed towards the voice and saw him standing there. I grabbed his hand and pulled him with me.
'Hey, Will, what?' he said confused.
I ignored him.
I took him to the roof, almost falling off the stairs in my hurry.
The roof was a flat platform, where I had placed a small table. The table was lit by a candle and there were two plates and a bowl of spaghetti bolognese on it [I have never eaten spaghetti bolognese], which I had made all by myself. I was pretty proud of myself for that.
I took Nico to the tablet and made him sit down on one of the chairs. He still looked extremely confused.
'Is - is - is this for me?' he asked while I sat down.
My only answer was a smile. A red blush was spreading over his cheeks. He looked adorable.
'Why?'
'Because I love you.' was my answer.
His face reddened even more.
'Come on, eat. I didn't make all this food for nothing.'
After dinner I took Nico to a blanket and a bunch of pillows in the corner of the roof. As we sat down I kissed him on the nose and saw his cheeks redden. [I love Solangelo nose kisses. They're so cute 😄]
Nico laid his head in my lap and I let my fingers go through his soft hair.
The sun was already going under and the sky was changing from blue to orange with beautiful pink, red and purple stripes in it.
The sky was slowly darkening while we just sat there, cuddling and enjoying eachother's presence in silence.
The first stars were appearing in the dark sky and it was getting colder, but I didn't care. I was cuddling with my beautiful boyfriend and didn't feel the cold.
We stargazed for a long time ('Look, the Huntress! And Orion! And there, Ursa Major!'), until we were both getting tired. Nico was already half asleep in my lap and I carried him bridal style downstairs. I walked to our bedroom and pushed the door open. I laid him on the bed carefully and put the blankets over him. Then I laid next to him and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
He murmeled in his sleep:
'I love you, Will.'
'I love you too, Sunshine.'
Did you like it? I really enjoyed writing this. Writing is a bit harder in English (I'm Dutch), but I am actually pretty proud of this. I have never written fluff before, I write more fight scenes, because the relationship of my oc didn't exist yet.

I was writing this and then "You Are My Sunshine" came. Coincidence? I think not.
