WHOOOO FINALLY A NEW ONE-SHOT SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING FOR WEEKS
I'll explain the lack of updates at the end, go read your fluff first
Nico pov
One hour. One hour. I had only been outside for one fucking hour.
I grunted as I stared angrily at the mirror.
My once so pale and smooth skin was now dotted with tiny lightbrown freckles.
I had only gone for a walk on the beach something I hadn't done in months.
I just wanted to feel the wind through my hair, the soft sand underneath my feet, the warm sun on my skin.
The sun that was the cause of these horrible freckles that were all over my face.
I sighed. It was not like I could do anything about it. I just had to roll with it.
I exited the bathroom and went downstairs, to the living room. Will was laying on the couch, reading a book.
When he heard my footsteps, he looked up from his book.
'Nico, what should we make for-' He stopped mid-sentence, just looking at me, eyes wide open.
I stared at him, waiting. When he didn't continue, I raised my eyebrow.
'Yeah...?'
Will blinked a few times and shook his head, as if he had been in some sort of trance. Then he squealed, dropped his book [William Solace, how dare you!] and sprinted towards me. He cupped my face in his hands, knocked me over and we fell on the couch, Will on top of me. [Please don't get weird thoughts]
He studied my nose, my face still in his hands, as if nothing had happened. I was just laying there, frozen.
'Uh... Will?'
'Are those freckles?!' Will suddenly cried out, squeezing my cheeks. 'Awwwww! That's so adorable!' [I'm pretty sure Will is acting exactly like a fangirl right now]
I didn't know how to respond to that and stayed silent. I was pretty sure my face was flushing red.
'Okay...?'
[Okay? Okay.]
Will just kept squealing and squeezing my face.
'Um... Will?'
His head snapped up as if he had been in some sort of trance.
'Oh. Yeah. Sorry.'
It was his turn to go red.
He rolled off me and stood up, helping me up as well, his face still bright red.
Will pov
Later, when we were laying in bed, ready to go to sleep, I turned around to face Nico.
I trailed a path over his new - and adorable I might say - freckles with my finger. I saw Nico's face heating up again.
I came even closer and pressed a soft kiss on his lips.
'Goodnight, Sunshine. I love you.'
He laid his head on my chest and I wrapped my arms around his warm body.
'I love you too.'
That's how I fell asleep, holding my soulmate in my arms, counting the freckles on his nose.

I couldn't think of an ending and it was so frustrating. I just wanted to update.
School started seven weeks ago and I had time nor motivation to write.
But I have autumn vacation now (only four more days 😭) and I just finished Fangirl - again - and I got motivated.
Did anyone notice the pun in the title?
