The next week flew by. Kylie had spending most of her time at her house, hanging out with King. He'd been at her house for the past two days while Tyga was in San Francisco. They did everything under the sun together, cook food, bake cookies, go on walks, play with the dogs, and watch TV.

Having the four year old around again caused a big mood shift for Kylie. She didn't mind having to get out of bed or leave the house anymore. Plus it was just nice to have someone with her in her huge house because Jordyn had been in London for the past week.

"Let's go watch a movie!" King suggested, pulling at Kylie's pant leg as she grabbed them drinks from the fridge.

"Okay. What do you want to watch?"

"Let's watch Zootopia!"

Kylie handed King a bottle of water, which he happily accepted. "That's your favorite movie, we're always watching it."

"I like the fox." King grabbed Kylie's hand and pulled her in the direction of the theater room.

They settled onto the couch and Kylie scrolled through Netflix to find the movie. King rambled and made random observations.

As the movie started up, Kylie scrolled through her phone. She had a missed call from her mom, a few texts from her sisters that she needed to respond to. But she'd do that at a later date because she wanted King to have her full, undivided attention.

"King, it's been so much fun having you here with me." Kylie said, locking her phone and tossing it away from her.

"Yeah. I had fun too."

"We have to do this more often."

"How come I don't sleep here every day anymore?" King asked innocently.

Kylie froze at the question. She didn't really know how to broach the topic of the breakup. It was confusing to her, so she couldn't imagine how a four year old was supposed to process everything.

"You don't sleep here anymore because your daddy got a new house." Kylie explained smoothly.

"Why?"

"Because he needed a new house."

"How come you don't you stay with us?" King continued. "You don't want to be with me and daddy anymore?"

A huge lump formed in Kylie's throat and she tried to force it down. The last thing she wanted to do was break down in front of King. "No, that's not it!"

"Then why?"

"God, did you always ask this many questions, Kingy?" Kylie took a deep breath and tried to compose her thoughts because she was a bundle of nerves. "Your daddy and I spent a lot of time together, almost every day together. And when you spend a lot of time with people, sometimes you just need to...take a break from each other. Like a time out. Am I making any sense?" King nodded. "And when we took our time out, I stayed here and daddy got a new house in Beverly Hills. Do you like your new house?"

"I miss it here with you." King said.

Kylie wiped away her tears before King saw her crying. "I miss you too."

"Then how come we don't just come back?"

Kylie chuckled. She wished things were that cut and dry. "It's not that easy, King. Trust me, I wish it was. But you and I will always be best friends forever, okay?"

"You promise?"

"I pinky promise plus one hundred bazillion gazillion."

"That's not a real number, silly." King said, laughing.
