Jasmine's POV

I laid in bed wide awake. Everyone else was already asleep as far as I knew. Looking at my bedside clock, it was 12:01. Ugh. Realizing sleep wasn't an option, I slipped out of bed and opened my bedroom door quietly. Hoping I wouldn't wake anyone up, I walked down the hall past all the bedrooms ending up on the balcony.

I already knew the reason I couldn't fall asleep. The only thing on my mind was Dillon. And Daisy. How everything was different this time last year. And honestly, I missed it.

I didn't notice my cheeks were wet until I heard the door open. Great, someone's gonna see me crying. There were only two people in this house who I didn't care if they saw me cry. And luckily it was one of those people.

"Are you okay?"

Jonah asked, immediately noticing my tears.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

I answered, wiping them away.

He came and sat next to me, putting his arm around my shoulders.

"What's wrong?"

"Just... I miss being someone's important person. I lost both of those people in the last year."

I explained.

"You're important to Daniel. And all the boys. And especially to me."

He said, and I gave him a small smile.

"Thanks."

"Do you wanna see something cool?"

He asked, and I nodded, needing a distraction at the moment.

"Lean back, and look up."

He instructed.

I obeyed him, and was amazed at what I saw.

"You can see them all so clearly!"

I exclaimed.

The stars were out, and they were mesmerizing.

"Sometimes I come out here and just watch them. It calms me."

"I can see why."

I looked at the sky intently.

"They're beautiful."

"Like you."

He whispered, and I couldn't help but blush.

"Hey do you wanna make a cake with me?"

I asked, suddenly wanting to bake.

"Right now?"

"Yeah! Unless you're tired, then I understand."

I told him.

"I would love to."

He grinned, standing and lending me a hand.

I kept our fingers intertwined as we made our way to the kitchen, loving how they fit together perfectly.

"Do you have cake mix?"

I wondered out loud.

"Yeah, somewhere in here."

He said, and I started rummaging through cabinets until I found a box of chocolate cake mix.

"Alright, we need two eggs, milk, and canola oil."

I read off the list of ingredients.

I looked up and Jonah already had eggs and milk in his hands.
