Chapter 1

'JESS WHERE ARE YOU ALL, THE DISHES ARE DIRTY JUST WAIT TILL I GET MY HADS IN YOU' shouted dad

'Yeah Jess just you wait' my brother said ( he always had to say something else just to annoy me and slightly scare me at the same time)

I had enough money I could just so now, go it LA I have been saving for the last 5 years this could be my chance.

But that would be it, the last time ever I would see what remains of my family (if you can call it that anyway). It wasn't much but it is all I had. I decided to do the dishes but before I could finish my brother grabbed tightly onto my arm, ready to swing for me, I could see he was aiming for my face but just before that happened I did something I had never ever done before in my entire life..

Before he new it I... I full on kicked him in his crown jewls, and I new from that moment there were to be no happy or at least civil goodbyes.

I ran for it.

Quickly sprinting up to my room grabbing everything I had pre packed including my passport and money, not forgetting my only picture of my mum. Kissing her for good luck: I dodged passed my brother and dad having no time to say good bye and just legged it.

I caught my arm on a nail from the building my dad was never going to compete now, it was so deep I knew it needed proper care,but at this moment in time my goal was to get as far away from my some what family as possible.

I got to the end of my street I could see my dad coming to get my, I had no idea what to do

There was a tea shop me and my mum always used to visit every friday after school, but when she started to get ill it just kinda stopped

I never brought myself to go in there again, it reminded me to much of her, my mum the only person that still cares for me even if I can't touch her or ask her questions anymore. But I know she is still with me.

I ran into the shop making my way to the toilets and locked myself in there.

The lady that works there had an idea of what went on at my house, but every time I asked I lied about it as dad said if I ever told, even if he couldn't do anything to me he would get Max (my brother) to teach me a lesson.

I heard them, barge into the shop screaming at Susie (the shop owner) to tell them where I was.

She didn't tell them at all.

I could hear the rage in there voices, you couldn't even image what they would do to me if they found me!

Thank god Susie was so good to me, she threatened to ring the police and they left, I think it was because my brother could not afford to get arrested again.

I finally had my chance and I was going to take it
