Jack
It was a really nice day. The sun was shining, the sky was a pretty blue, there were only a few fluffy white clouds, and a light breeze kept the temperature down. I stood with Hiccup and Merida at the park. Hiccup was complaining about how long the other three girls were taking, typical. Patience was not really one of his virtues.
"Why do girls take so long?" He whined. I just laughed at him.
"Hiccup stop complaining before I lose one of my arrows on you." Merida said in her thick Scottish accent. She was staring at Hiccup, agitation written all over her face.
Hiccup huffed but stopped talking.
"Better." Commented Merida.
"So how have things been at home Mer?" I asked. She let out a frustrated sigh.
"Don't even go there." That seemed to be all she had to say on that subject. Now that Merida was a senior in high school her mother had started trying to set her up. Apparently boys had to go through Merida's mother if they wanted to date her daughter. Merida was less than pleased. She had been on a few dates that her mother had set up, and I guess they didn't go to well. I didn't know many details, Mer wasn't too keen on gossiping about her life.
"Then what do you want to talk about?" I asked.
Merida stood, thinking. Then a mischievous grin took over her freckled face. 'Oh no.'
"Have you found anyone you like yet Jack?" She questioned. I sighed.
"No Mer. You know I'm not interested."
"Yeah. Sure." She rolled her eyes.
"What?" I asked.
"Jack, you know I love you, but you keep pushing people away. We are the only people you talk to. You need to give others a chance. You should try to let someone else in. You deserve to be happy."
"I am happy." I said. Hiccup and Merida exchanged a look and stared back at me.
"Merida has a point dude." Said Hiccup. I sighed. "There's got to be a girl you're interested in. We will all help as much as we can to make it happen. You are isolated and you aren't happy. But you should be happy."
"Guys, I'm fine."
"No. No you aren't. Hiccup is right, we can help!" I just rolled my eyes and Merida's response.
"Hiccup! We can set him up!"
At this Hiccup laughed and then looked at me. He seemed to be trying to evaluate my face.
"You know what. I think we should." He said.
"Yes! We'll get Punzie on board when she gets here. But who to set him up with..." Mer scrunched up her forehead, thinking again.
"Guys I'm fine." I said, holding up my hands. I really didn't need this. There was a reason I didn't let anyone in, I didn't want to risk getting hurt again. But I also didn't have any interest in the girls around here. There was only one girl that had ever captured my attention, and she wasn't here.
"We'll ask Rapunzel when she gets here." Said Hiccup.
"Look! Perfect timing!" Merida started waving enthusiastically to Rapunzel, who must be behind me as I can't see her. Hiccup lifted his hand for a small wave as well. I should probably say 'hi' I thought and I turned around to greet Rapunzel. Walking next to her was a girl, probably about 16 by my estimate, with her auburn hair pulled into to braids. I recognized her immediately as Anna. She had grown, but still had green/blue eyes and a bubbly personality it would seem. The white streak in her hair was new, but that was probably something she did in New York. Then realization struck, if Anna was here, that meant...Elsa. I looked up a little and saw her walking behind her cousin and sister. I froze, I felt stuck to the ground. Her eyes were a stunning sapphire blue and they were looking around the park. She had dark lashes to frame her eyes. Her hair was pulled back into a French braid, her bangs swept in with the rest of her hair. Her hair was light and almost white. She wore jeans and ankle boots, a long sleeved black shirt and some tight gloves that went to her forearms. She was absolutely beautiful I thought to myself. She had grown well. She still had a petit frame, as did Anna. Elsa walked very gracefully while Anna didn't seem to care. There was quite a few differences in the sisters, but you could see the relation none the less. Elsa blinked and then her blue eyes were on mine. It felt like time was frozen. I could get lost in those eyes.
