Wow okay so I have no idea where to begin.
The last time I even glanced at the story, it was December of 2017. As I am writing this, it is currently April of 2020. Time really does fly, huh?
I honestly forgot this account existed for a long time. I basically ignored this entire app in general until only recently, trying to restart my mindset to get into reading again, on a new account to start fresh. With everything that's been happening in my life, I suppose it's just nice to finally feel something again temporarily, even if it's because I'm screaming over a very poor ending. (I mean, who takes 60 chapters to finally get the love interests together and end the story with them not ending up with each other?? Don't get me started.) You didn't wait for this update to hear my sob story, though.
When I logged back into this account, looking for a story that I swear exists that I can't find on the internet or on my shelves anywhere, I noticed I never unpublished this story like the rest of them. I returned to find a decent amount of reads, a few comments hear and there, etc. I'm even noticing some people still put this in their reading lists despite it not being completed nor updated since 2017. I was also surprised to see that it ranked at all for the tags.
First, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has read, voted and commented so far on this silly story written by 14 year old. Truly, you have a lot of patience that I don't. I also want to thank anyone who may have returned for this small update as well as anyone who may be reading in the future for some reason. It's odd, isn't it? Thinking about real people like me, sitting in their rooms at night, reading my work.
Second, I owe the readers an apology for leaving it so dead ended with no explanation. Honestly, I had another author's note written, but not published for some reason, explaining that I had planned on rewriting the story to rid it of grammatical error, make it more interesting and detailed, and attempt to target a larger, older audience.
I did not do that. I forgot.
Perhaps in all of my newly found free time, I could try to rewrite it again. If I do, I may try to write at least half of the book before publishing, and not on this account. I simply cannot bring myself to recount a lot of foul memories that come with it.
Instead, follow my new account (if you want):
@write-to-readYes, I know, cheesy username. It's temporary until I am able to come up with one more clever.
I currently don't have any new works published on that account yet, as I made it only recently. If I do republish Morningstar, it will likely be on that account and I will announce it both here and there. I also look forward to sharing a new, hopefully original, story there soon that I've been working on. Its still all over the place, so I don't want to give away much, but it's likely going to be titled What You Mean To Me (maybe).
Thanks,
meaghantm
