Having no choice but to follow him. I ran into the trees.
The forest was thick, dense and I could only just see where Renan was going. My school uniform was getting mauled and my hair was in even more of a mess than usual.
Then again, what if I just turned around and tried to find my way home? Thinking that I stopped.
I could always try and hitch hike back to school.
Yes, that's what I'm going to do. Making sure that Ronan had gone; I turned in the direction that we came from and ran full pelt in order to totally lose him.
By the time I made it to the clearing I was gagging with exhaustion.
I looked up and screamed.
There was a man with a dark shaggy beard and a bald head. Sitting on a rock staring at me. He had rags for clothes and looked like he had just been rolling around in a muck pit.
"Excuse me young lady, are you lost?" He said in a rough voice.
"Y-yes, could you please tell me where we are?" I replied hoping that he would know the way home.
"Of course girl, this place is the Morganian forest" he explained simply.
"The where?"
"The Morganian forest. The biggest most sacred forest in Argania"
The man looked closer at me and realisation appeared across his dirty face.
"You're from earth aren't you girl?"
"Yes" I said
"Is this not earth?"
He chuckled softly and patted the rock indicating that I should sit next to him. I walked over and sat on the rock desperate for answers.
"You are on the planet Eralin; it is in a universe parallel to your own. The only difference is that this is the home of the elementals."
"What is an elemental?" This word kept popping up and I was really wanted to find out what is was.
"It's a person with power over one of the elements. These are fire, water, earth and air. They also get tattoos on their back to signal what they are."
I gasped! I was an elemental, I had magic powers, I wonder what my element is? I wanted to dance, run around, scream but doubt pulled at my mind; there is no such thing as magic.
" Are you playing some sort of trick on me?" I asked.
"No of course not, let me show you."
He held out his hand and a seed appeared. Suddenly the seed started to grow in an unnatural speed. It grew into a beautiful purple flower with white spots on the petals.
I was amazed! All the doubt that that had built up in my mind was gone but was quickly being replaced by an infinite pile of questions.
"Are you an earth elemental?"
"That is correct."
"How did I get here?" I asked hoping to find out what exactly had happened.
"I do believe that you were teleported here by a member of the Arganian royal family."
"The royal family?"
"Yes the royal family are the only elemental family able to teleport."
"Why on earth would a member of the royal family teleport me here?" I asked, mainly to myself.
"I have no idea but if you want you can come back to my house and I'll help you investigate. We'll need to know each other's names first though. I'm Grayson"
I didn't fully trust Grayson but I needed a place to stay.
"Hi Grayson I'm Ella and I would love to stay with you."
