(A/N the picture above is how I imagined the woods.)

I followed closely behind Grayson still not sure whether I should trust him.

We had been walking for a while now and my feet were starting to hurt. The difficult terrain making it ten times worse and although the forest was beautiful I couldn't concentrate on it. My mind was to busy trying to understand what had happened and how all this could be possible.

Suddenly Grayson stopped and put his fingers to his lips; motioning that I should be quiet. My heart rate had started to speed up with fear as he crouched down and quietly crept forward. I silently followed him and sent him a questioning look.

He put his hands on his head and made a crown shape then mouthed the word prince.

By then I was full on panicking; I didn't want to lose my only hope of getting home.

There was a loud popping sound and Renan appeared just a metre in front of us. He was glaring daggers at me and Grayson.

"How dare you run away from me!" he shouted. All signs of kindness gone.

"I'm sorry your highness but I want to go home. You have no right to keep me here!" Anger was apparent in my voice and some confidence that I didn't know I had.

"Yes I do Ella. One, I am the prince, two, you are an elemental and three, you are the daughter of Octavia and William Land the two most powerful sorcerers in all of Argania and most of Eralin too."

"W-what?" I asked he knew my parents? They were the most powerful elementals in this world! "My parents are alive?"

Suddenly sadness came across his face "I'm sorry Ella, they both passed away in a terrible magical accident; many people died that day."

No. no, no, no. They can't be dead. They weren't meant to die, I had promised myself that when I tuned eighteen I would search for them.

All my plans had just gone down the drain.
