It was 3am,
When I awoke to the sound of a childs laugh. I laid still, with my eyes sealed shut. I felt an Ice cold breath on my pale tender neck. At this moment, i was too scared to open my eyes. I thought it was just a bad dream, and you wake up from dreams right?
Well this was no dream, this was real life..
At this point I could hear my heart race. I could hear the laughter getting louder and louder. My head was pounding, real hard. My eyes were still sealed tight. The Icey breath was getting heavier, deeper and colder. something clutched onto my long thin leg. I felt claws digging into my skin. I jerked my leg away, and as quick as a flash, my eyes flew wide open, and for the noises.. they stopped. The cold breath had quickly disappeared.
I crept back to the corner of my bed. I lent back against the wall. A tear ran down my cheek and onto my plump red lips. I held my pillow tight, I pressed it against my chest. Everything was silent.. Almost too quiet..
Suddenly my bed started shaking. I clutched onto the wooden bed head. I held on tighter, pulling myself away from the edge. The bed flew up into the air, then slammed down into the ground. The childrens laughs were surrounding me, getting louder and louder. I screamed as loud as i possibly could, hoping someone would hear me. Suddenly the door bursted open, everything went still. Tristan bolted in. He sat by my side and held me tight. He whispered into my ear,
"It's okay Monica, it's okay"
He stroked my hair, still holding me tight. I fell asleep in his muscular arms, with my face buried into hia chest.
