I am woken up by the suns rays. I squint and cover my eyes from the blinding sun. About 5 minutes later I decide to get up and get dressed. I look at myself in the mirror and brush my hair because I look like a mess.
I take my time walking down the stairs because I do not plan on falling. I start looking around for the kitchen or preferably my mother. I finally find the kitchen and my mom's back is turned towards me.
Whatever she is cooking smells good. "Good morning mom." She turns around and smiles,"good morning sweet heart." I then look into the pot and see these circular things. She puts three of these onto one plate and three more onto a second plate.
We then walk to another long table which she tells me is the breakfast table. So the other table must be the dining table. Huh! I sit down across from my mom. She places one plate in front of me and one in front of her.
A man in a black suit puts down a bottle in between the places. I recognize it as a syrup bottle. I feel a little uneasy because my dad shielded me from a lot. That's why I don't know certain things. I have no idea at first but I catch on later.
"Mom what are these,"I ask with a worried face. She chuckles to her self then mummers,"your father did a good job." She looks up at me and smiles while shaking her head." Honey. These are pancakes." Oh. Silly me.
But what did she mean my father did a good job. I wasn't about to ask. Mostly because I don't think I was supposed to hear her. I pour syrup on my pancakes and enjoy.

This movie is amazing. I'm watching A Dog's Purpose. My mom walks into my room and sits at the edge of my bed. I pause the movie mostly because I don't want to miss anything.
" Well Honey, I wanted to tell you tomorrow is August 28. The first day of school." I nod along not knowing what she's getting at."So Lily your going to start homeschooling tomorrow." I nod.
She smiles then walks out the room."Hey Mom," I shout. She walks back in."Yes?"
"What did you mean your dad did a good job?" She looks at me like she is debating whether to tell me then she sits at the edge of my bad.
"What I mean honey is that he kept you from knowing things." And with she walks out of the room. What is that supposed to mean.
