The day has been so long, but I'm finally home. I go upstairs into my room and let myself fall onto the bed. I'm so exhausted and it's only 4 pm.

'Wen! Wen! Wake up! You're going to be late to your voleyball training.' My brother booms into my room.

'Thanks Mike, I'm so tired, I can't even remember falling asleep.' I take my mobile and look at the time. 'Omg, It's already 5.30 and my training starts at 6, I'm so going to be late.

'Do you need a drive there? I'm meeting some friends close to the sports center, I can drop you off if you want to.'

'Yes please, I won't get there if not. Thanks.'

...

I really needed a shower after this whole day and although it may sound strange, the showers here are not bad at all. One of my team mates aproaches me when I'm about to leave.

'Hi. Are you new in Bristol? I haven't seen you around so I supposed so.' A brunette short girl asks me. She is cute, small but cute. She has curly hair and a very bright smile.

'Yeas, I am. We moved from South Carolina because of family problems.' I tell her.

'Oh, is everything okay?'

'Yeah, there's nothing to worry about, but thanks for asking. So, what's your name?. I like this girl, she is kind and I think maybe she could be my first friend here.

'Sorry, I forgot haha. My name is Gabi and I go to Selman High. You?' She asks. I have heard about that school, it's further away from my home, I think in the center.

'Don't know which one it is, but that's normal, I haven't seen much of the city still. And I'm Wendy, you can call me Wen. I go to Lancaster high it's half an hour from here more or less.'

'I know some people who go there actually. My boyfriend and some friends.' She says.

'Oh well, I don't know everyone there yet.'

'We could hang out whenever you want and you could meet him and the rest of his friends, they are nice guys.'

'I'd love to.' She's officially my new friend, and I need to meet new people so it sounds like a great idea.

'Good, this Friday is good for you? There's a party at a friend's house, I'm sure she won't mind you coming.' She offers.

'I'll have to talk to my parents about it, we're still unpacking stuff and remodelling the new house, but I sshould think whe will let me.'

She gives me her phone number and we say goodbye to each other.

I'm really looking forward to a party, and this fresh start is finally looking good.
