I smile at Jimin as he blabbers on about his weekend at his family's chalet. Apparently, his brother got stuck in the toilet for more than 7 hours and cried for 5 of them. Huh.

My eyes skim around the busy school hallway as I search for my best friend Taehyung.
I see him at his locker and I smile, telling Jimin I'd see him later
"Okay, have a good day!" He calls, walking off to his own locker as I walk towards Tae
"Hey!" I greet him and he jumps slightly before turning to me and looking at me, his boxy smile stamped onto his face, making me smile right back at him.

"Hey, how was your weekend?" He asks, taking his chemistry book out of the locker.
"Well, we were together for most of it" I giggle as his face becomes slightly red, as he is clearly embarrassed.
"Right, I forgot. I'm just so used to walking to school with you, that I forgot we even spent time together" he explains and I scoff

"I'm hurt that you forgot about me" I dramatically place my hand over my heart and squeeze my shirt, laughing under my breath as I see Taehyung's face fall.
"No! I didn't forget about- oh you little bitch" he chuckles as I look up at him and he sees my smiling face.
"And now you're insulting me? Ouch" I roll my eyes and he does the same
"Stop your act, get your books, and let's go to class" he chuckles, placing his hand on the small of my back and pushing my throught the crowded hall, right to my locker.

"Who told you you could touch me, huh?" I tease him and he chuckles, opening my locker.
"I'm your best friend, I can do whatever I want" he says and my smile falls.

Best friend.

Right.

"Emily?" Taehyung asks and I look back at him
"Huh?"
"We're gonna be late, you should take your books." He says and motions for me to hurry up.
I nod and place my book bag in my locker and take my chemistry book with my pencil case

"Are you okay?" Tae asks me as we walk towards our first class
"Me? Oh yeah, i'm great!" I exclaim and he shakes his head.
"Fine, I'll let it slide this time, but if you feel bad, tell me alright? I'm here for you" he smiles at me and wraps his right arm around my waist as we keep walking
"Will do" I breathe out

"I'm telling you, he was totally checking you out!" Jimin exclaims and I roll my eyes as Taehyung chuckles.
"Do you think he's hot, Em?" Jimin asks and just as I was about to answer, Taehyung shoves a mouth full of food down my throat, making me choke.
"What was that about?!" I exclaim through coughs.
"I wanted you to try my food" he shrugs and I giggle
"Be gentle next time." I tell him and he winks
"Will do" we continue to talk until we're all done eating and Taehyung gets up, taking my hand in his and walking away
"Uhm, BYE JIMIN" I call out and see Jimin raising his arms as to say "what the fuck".

"Slow down!" I giggle as I try to keep up with Taehyung's fast pace.
"Shush" he groans and pulls me into a gap between lockers.
"Now, tell me what was wrong all morning" he orders and I gulp at how close we are.

Our chest are touching and I can feel his breath on my face, making me flustered.
"Nothing was wrong, tae. Let it go" I manage to say, although my heart is thumping.
"No!" He yells as I was about to get out of the confined space
"What?"
"Tell me what was wrong" he whispers, replacing one of my blonde hair strand behind my ear.
"This!" I exclaim
"This is wrong! You touch me like that, you treat me like a girlfriend then call me your best friend! You keep messing with my feelings and I'm so fucking over it!" I finally pour out what's been bothering me and he furrows his brows at me, clearly confused
"What do you mean?"
