Being suspended isn't fun. My mom made me run errands with her all morning. I've never been so bored.
When I finally had a chance to be home, I decided to play Overwatch on the Xbox. It was one of my favorite games. I quickly logged on and started a new game as Widowmaker.
I played by myself for about an hour then took a break to make lunch. I made a quick turkey and cheese sandwich with Sprite. I ate silently in the kitchen. It was so lonely. At least I had Sparky.
Sparky came up and sat with her big puppy eyes staring at me. I looked at my food, then at her again.
"Just because you are good doggy," I said taking a piece of turkey and tossing it in the air. Sparky watched fall in front of her. When it hit the ground, she ate it.
"We need to work up catching food in mid air skills," I said rubbing her head. She barked.
"Want to go for a walk?" Sparky and ran in a little circle. "Alright lets go." I had nothing better to do.(Jacob)
Apparently what happened Friday spread around the school pretty quick. People were giving me weird looks as I walked down the halls and whispering to one another. Some of Sullivan's and Nate's friends were giving me evil looks. I ignored it and went to my first class which is math.
Mrs. Brookside, my math teacher, was writing some warm up equations on the bored. I took my usual spot in the back and pulled out my notebook and started to doodle. I didn't realize a tall blonde girl was standing by my desk. She cleared her throat trying to get my attention. I closed my notebook.
"So your the guy who got my boyfriend expelled," Kylie Smith, Nate's boyfriend said staring at me. Her blue eyes met mine. She looked like she about to kill me.
"Uh," I said.
"I can't believe you! Now who is going to help me carry my books or drive me to school! I had to take the bus," she said disgusted. I had no idea what to do.
"Your boyfriend tried to kill me," I said, "He got what he deserved." Wrong choice of words. She gripped the edge of my desk and curled her lip.
"How dare you say something like that to me. I will get you back for what you did," Kylie threatened. I don't where it came from, but I started to laugh. I couldn't help myself. That only pissed her off more. She was probably about to do something, but the bell rang and everyone took their seats. Our principal came over the intercom and gave his normal good morning speech. No one paid attention. When he finished, Mrs. Brookside began her lesson on calculus for the day.
Again, I didn't pay attention. Instead, I started to doodle. I practiced shading on some random objects that I drew previously.
"Jacob, what's the answer for number three?" Mrs. Brookside asked. I glanced up at the problem on the board.
"Seven," I guessed. I heard snickers. Mrs. Brookside looked disappointed.
"Jacob, please pay attention. We will have a test on this material of Friday. I need to see you are focused." I looked up at her. She nodded then went back to explaining the problem.
Hours seemed to pass before that class was over.
"I want pages 129-132 done tonight for homework. That's only thirty- two problems," Mrs. Brookside said. Everyone groaned. When she dismissed the class, I rushed out and quickly went to my locker. I wanted to get my belongings for the next class before anyone got to me. Nate, Sullivan, and Ian weren't here, that didn't mean i wasn't going to be picked on.
Once I got my belongings for my next class, I made my way down avoiding all eye contact. Everything was fine until I reached the class. Kylie and her friends were huddled by the door.
"There he is!" exclaimed Kylie. All her friends turned and looked in my direction.
"That's him?" a red head asked.
"I will make him pay," a burnett said, "No one messes with Kylie without going through me." I started at them then started laughing. They actually sounded like the idiots they are. The burnett looked at me confused. I guess no one has ever laughed at her.
"Sorry, but I have class," I said shoving my way through the group and into class. Once I sat down, I was confused and proud on what I did. I never had courage until now. Where did it come from?
After that, I thought my day was going to be fine. Then I wished Mark were here when things went downhill.
