Alfia's POV

I tapped my pencil against the desk, I looked over at the clock. It was almost time for School to let out for the summer. I was excited for this summer, it was my thirteenth birthday. My mom always said you become a true woman then. Finally a teen, I was really looking forward to that. I sighed and then I realized I wasn't paying attention to the lesson . I looked up and brushed my curly golden hair out of my grey colored eyes. I turned my gaze up to the broad. Annd I'm behind again I quickly wrote down all I could and looked back at the clock.

Yes! 3:50! Time to get out of here! Everyone started to get up and grab their stuff, I grabbed my messenger bag it rattled as I pick it up, I had so many dang pins on it, it always does that. I slammed  my turquoise beanie over my curly mess that I call hair and walked out the door

I perfered to walk to and from School it was easier and more fun. I only lived about four blocks away from the School. I just walked along until I got to my house.

I walked up the Driveway and through the door "Hey Mom!" I said waving to her as I ran up the stairs  "Hey Twerp." I said as my little brother, Elliott, walked by "Whatever Adoptie." He replied "You do not go there!" I snapped back but the he hid in his room. Ugh I hate it when people bring that up. The fact that I'm adopted that is. I know most people don't take it too seriously but it bothers me, am I really so bad that my real parents looked at me and said "I don't want it." and I hate it when people are like "Oh they want to give you your best chance."  It just pisses me off. I threw my bag onto my bed and pulled out some matches from my side-table, I lit a few candles and blew out the match.

I sighed I needed something new in my life, I flopped on my bed and pulled out my laptop from my dresser. I opened it up and turned on 'The Parent Trap' I grabbed an apple from the Kitchen downstairs and pressed play, I smiled I loved this movie it was awesome. It was funny, having a twin you didn't know about, made me laugh.

After the movie I changed into my PJs and and went to bed, after blowing out the candles of course.

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up and slammed my alarm clock, I guess I forgot to shut it off, I sat up and unplugged it  and got dressed, grabbed my bag and I headed downstairs for breakfast, Elliott was there eating cereal, I sat down and grabbed the box of Krunchers, as I lifted it up it was crazy light, I looked inside. Empty "Really? Again?" I asked Elliott, he just grinned like an ape, "I'm not even going to ask if you're keeping the toy I know the answer to that." I said getting up out of the chair. I walked outside and down the street until I came across the forest.

There was a small forest in the middle of my neighborhood, I could go in there for hours. And I do, I started walking into the forest, pushing away branches and stepping over broken bottles, this is where the teens come to smoke. But I just ignore it I kept walking on, I was looking for something, someplace. until I found it, there was a tree that was shaped perfectly, perfectly for sitting and climbing.

I dropped my bag on a sharp branch that was asking to a bag hanger, and then I started to climb up the tree, I had started to fix up this tree, I was planning to install platforms into it and I will. One day this summer, I had boxes I nailed into some branches for holding things, I few towels in place like little hammocks. I wanted to make this my place, I climbed up hight to the top and I looked out over all the trees. This tree was the tallest one in the whole forest.

This view was perfect I could see everything from here I loved this place so so much. I wanted to stay here forever and ever. I got comfy and I just, watched. I loved nature it was such I good place to just sit and read ot just sit or do anything, I don't know I just love being outside, it's something I loved and something I was good at. I really loved nighttime too, especially the full moon. It just makes me feel free and calm and I just let everything go. I started to climb down the tree I grabbed my bag  and headed over to a river that wasn't too far from the tree.

I washed my hands in the cold water I looked down into the rushing water and I saw something shiny,  I reached in and pulled it out, it was a silver chain. I looked closer and saw it was too chains tangled together. I untangled them and dropped them in my bag and stood up. I dusted off my legs and walked back toward the tree I liked and I climbed back up to the top.

I opened the box at the top that I had nailed to the tree and I gently placed the chains inside it I locked it up and climbed back down. I stretched and walked back toward the river I looked at the bank, I saw some glass in the water, I picked it up. I wanted to make a sun-catcher,  I had a few pieces that where yellow and green but these where blue, I put them in my bag.

I stayed out until it got dark, looking for things cleaning things climbing stuff, you know stuff you do in nature and when the moon came up I started back home, but I didn't want to leave especially now that the moon was up, but my mom has a rule 'Home before Midnight or you get a Fright." and by that she means she's going to hide in the bushes with a scary mask on and scare you when you come up the driveway, I checked my watch and breathed a sigh of relief when it said 11:14, I jogged back home and went to my room, changed and I watched another movie on my laptop before falling asleep with 'Toy Story' playing.

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up with my laptop on my chest and turned it off and stood up I stretched and yawned then got dressed, I walked downsairs and headed out the door to the forest. I walked down the road and then turned into the forest once more today would be a good day, nothing could ruin this.
