(Xavier's P.O.V)
Xavier took one last hard jab at the punching bag, using all his strength. The dark brown eyed man looked down at his knuckles, seeing he was bleeding just a little. It didn't bother him, it usually happened when he something such as a bag, especially with his power. Xavier unwrapped his knuckles and slipped on his tank top that had The Immortals logo on it.

Just about to leave, his wrist was shocked sending a wave of electricity though his arm. The watch on his wrist was blasting at least a thousand bolts. His muscles tightened as he fell to his knees and let out a groan. What the hell could Commander want at 12:45 am?! Xavier stood up and pressed a button on his watch to signal that he was on his way.

Once he was at Commander Cade's office, he didn't hesitate to fold his hands behind his back and stand up straight. Commander stole a quick glance at Xavier and then glued his eyes to his tablet.

Come on, I didn't come here for fucking silence. What do you want?

Finally the commander spoke but didn't make eye contact with the tall man in front of him, "You have a special mission, X" he begins, scrolling on his tablet. He then looked at an opened laptop and studied a paragraph "I chose you because you are the most powerful in this organization. Also, your the one I trust the most"

Then why don't you act like you trust me? Xavier complained in his head, hoping he didn't say his words out loud.

Xavier chose his next words carefully "So may I ask why you called and what the real mission is?" He fixed up his stance, straightening his back a little more. He tried to force himself to stay straight and not slouch from this boring meeting.

The commander finally looked at Xavier as he turned his tablet so that Xavier could see. The man that was in his soldier stance, looked at Commander as he rooked two steps forward. He saw a pure gold necklace with 3D heart as a chain hanging. Xavier raised an eyebrow in confusion "Commander, it's beautiful and I think it would be a perfect gift for your girlfriend-"

"Silence! This isn't a gift you idiot. This is a valuable necklace. Doesn't look like much but it holds the most amazing power" Commander pointed at the heart "in that little heart hanging. The heart contains a very rare substance. It's so rare that, the heart right there contains the last of its kind"

"May I ask what it is?" Xavier stole another look at the necklace, this time studying the heart very closely. He still didn't know how valuable the necklace was, despite its pure gold. His whole life, Xavier thought he was the most powerful.

"The substance is drinkable and once it is consumed, the consumer gains the power and is now the most powerful in the world. Much powerful than you, X. And maybe if I get my hands on it, I can give it to you and me and you can rule this cruel planet. You could hold its power!"

Xavier like the idea of that. It intrigued him and he grew more interested in the meeting "okay then, tell me where it is, I will go snatch it" he clapped his hands together.

The commander shook his head "I wish it was that easy. Unfortunately it is in the hands of a teenage girl, one year under your age. She goes to a private high school, Coldwater high. The necklace is passed down in her family to the first daughter born when she reaches age seventeen"

"What's her name sir?"

"Elena Parker, other organizations are after her and they want that necklace, badly. Your job is to protect her and the necklace, I want you to stay as near her as possible and don't let her find out about your job. I want you to fight off all that come near her until they are too scared to even go near the girl. Once that is done, take her and the necklace and bring them to The Immortals. You know it wouldn't hurt to be a good friend"

"Friend? Sir with all respect, you raised me to block out my emotions and focus on me-" the commander stood on his feet as his fist pounded against his desk "well now I need you to let all those emotions back in! Or just pretend, it's one fucking simple job! I don't care what you feel, you will find that girl and protect her even if it costs your own life! I want her and the necklace back here when you eliminate all the coming enemies! Do you understand?!"

Xavier nodded slightly "yes sir"

The commander became calm and settled back in his chair. He slid over to his printer and picked out a paper then slid back over to his desk to hand it to Xavier. Slowly Xavier took the paper and saw a printed picture of the girl. He was surprised to see her beauty, her smile, her beautiful red-brown eyes.

"Take it, keep it with you until you find her" commander suggested.

Xavier folded the paper and stuffed it in his back pocket, going back to his stance. Commander stood up and folded his hands behind his back "You leave tomorrow morning, you are dismissed"

The tall man nodded as he made his way out the commanders office. Xavier leaned against the wall and looked at the picture once more. Suddenly there was a voice in front of him "yo beast" Xavier's eyes immediately shot up to meet his nemesis attention"you already done with the gym? What, can't handle it?"

Xavier crossed his arms after putting the paper back in his pocket "what the fuck are you doing out of your dorm room? Go back!" His nemesis, Zane, took a stepped forward "why don't you make me, freak"

Xavier looked down, trying not to show his eyes turning dark red and he felt the temptation to kill. Xavier never could control his temper, ever since he was experimented on. He couldn't count all his kills, he was ashamed but that is just what they made him out to be.

Zane punched Xavier's shoulder and laughed "oh come on, beast! Let me see those eyes, let me see your killer side! Let me see how bad you are! Come on!" After the temptation and rage built up inside of him, Xavier finally looked up and roared. At this point he was slouching down but still standing as his knees were bent. His arms spread out just a little and his claws were slowly finding their way out of his nails.

Xavier growled and look at Zane as he slowly clapped his hands "ah that's more like it. Bravo beast, way to be the freak of the century" after that Xavier couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed Zane by his shirt and through him at the wall. Commander ran out of his office and grabbed Xavier by the shoulders "X!" He yelled "what the hell are you doing?!"

Xavier didn't know the answer to that question either. He lashed out...for the third time this week. After a minute, the man returned back to his normal self. His claws sank in and so did his fangs, his eyes were normal...it was almost like nothing happened. But he knew what he did, he saw Zane unconscious, guessing that he hit his head against the wall.

"Go" commander ordered "you know the drill, go to the pit now!" Commander Cade couldn't even make eye contact with Xavier. Two guards guided the man down to the pit as he was handcuffed. Commander was right, he did know the drill. The drill that's been going on since he turned a beast.

Xavier was locked in a cell, and he saw the pure gold that he feared. His weakness was pure gold and then he saw the wolfs bane plant. He feared that the most, even though he wasn't a full wolf...he still had the side affects of one. He still had the weaknesses.

Xavier sat on a bench and just waited for him to go through the pain.
