Beast

Chapter 5

A/N some PM me to say show them how Xavier's eyes look when he is a beast. Well there ya go :). Except his eyes are dark red and I will get to this color in the story at some point because this color also means something. But yeah, here is the eye reveal of Xavier! Also the video is another request I got :).
(Xavier's P.O.V)
The teen boy looked at his digital clock, taking a sip of his Jack Daniels that he poured in a glass. 11:45 he read. His eyes trailed over to Elena, seeing her eyes closed as she slept safe and sound. He loved it when she was in peace, it calmed him and he knew that he had nothing to worry about. Xavier looked down at his shirtless body, seeing the stitched up wound. More hits like this...and I'm done for. I'm supposed to be taking care of her. Not her taking care of me. It's not right.

Xavier took another sip as he walked to the window, looking out at the stars, the moon, the clouds. His eyes turned red, veins creeping down from his eyelids as he began to think about what would happen if he did fail Commander Cade. The punishment he would receive, the pain he would go through...it was overwhelming.
(Elena's P.O.V)
My eyes fluttered open seeing Xavier wide awake, walking around the room. I saw his big tattoo that went across the top of his back. I didn't quite understand it, but it was a bunch of pictures all put together. My vision was cut off his tattoo as he turned around and saw me. He tilted his head to the side a little, walking towards me.

Oh someone please kill me...how the hell did he see me?!

Xavier kneeled down when he was at the edge of my bed "how long have you been awake?" He asked in a quiet and soft voice. Elena took in a breath "Long enough to know that you drink way too much" she giggled "and that you walk around too much" The teen boy looked down, hiding his grin that was forcing its way onto his lips. Elena's smile soon faded after the silence "I'm not going to give up on you"

"What do you mean?" Xavier raised an eyebrow, bringing his head up to meet Elena's eyes. The girl set a hand on his cheek and her voice became softer "I want to know what's happening or what happened before you came to Coldwater academy. Because you have a high temper and there are moments where you are so sweet and kind and funny. I know that, that's your true personality. This whole bad act...I'm not buying it"

Xavier seemed angry and it wasn't hard for Elena to tell. He pulled her hand off his cheek and stood up "What act?" He asked in his confident voice "Go back to bed"

What act? Are you freaking kidding me, your using it right now! Just realize that your secret is tearing you apart! Xavier walked away from her, grabbing his jacket. "Wait Xavier!" Elena called out. Xavier didn't make eye contact he just stopped and looked over his shoulder "what?"

"Where are you going...?" She asked, sitting herself up on the edge of her bed. Xavier didn't answer and silence broke in the room. After a while he left, closing the door behind him roughly. Elena felt bad, think-knowing she had said the wrong thing.  Why do I always make things worse than they already are? Elena laid back down, looking up at the ceiling.
(Xavier's P.O.V)
Xavier leaned on one of the walls of the dorm building. He lit up his cigarette and sticked it in between his lips. She so funny for thinking she can change something that can't be changed. These nothing to change because there's nothing wrong. Xavier knew he was lying to himself but he would say anything at this point.

"I'm tired of this..." A voice called out from a far. Xavier's eyes immediately followed the voice to see Elena walking towards him. He immediately put out his cigarette and looked at her "tired of what?" He snapped "tired of me? Tired of trying? Stop trying then!" He shouted.

"No that's not- Xavier..." Her voice dropped dramatically. Xavier turned around, seeing a much taller and older man stand before him. Fuck my life. Xavier's eyes turned red, veins crawling underneath them. But he was shocked when he saw the other mans eyes. Yellow, veins crawling underneath. "Level C..." Xavier whispered. The man charged at Xavier as fast as he could, sending Xavier pounding into the wall "Agh!" I have to do it...he thought. Xavier growled, pushing the man off and sending him flying into the air. He felt his claws growing out of his nails and his fangs growing out his gums. Xavier roared at the man, jumping high in the air and going behind him. The tall level C quickly turned around, throwing a punch at Xavier. The teen quickly dodged and slipped the man by sliding his leg underneath his feet. Xavier used his claws and started stabbing the guy in his neck, chest, arms, he wanted to make sure he was dead. It took several slashes before Xavier stopped.

He felt blood covering his body and was scared to look at Elena but when he did, his eyes immediately changed back to normal, his own human form returning. She was shocked and scared, more than she ever was before.

Xavier took a steps towards her, extending out his arm "Elena... I-" he was cut off by her voice "get away from me" she stepped back "stay away from me!" Xavier watched as Elena ran into the building. He didn't bother chasing when he saw their window opened. He quickly jumped up and crawled through the window, waiting for Elena's arrival.

He saw the door swing open and he ran towards it, blocking any other way to get out "Please Elena, let me explain" he begged. Xavier could hear Elena's loud and heavy breaths and now he was the scared one, scared to fail, scared of Elena fearing her. He watched her pick up a lamp and throw it at him. Xavier quickly grabbed it and set it down on the floor "Elena..."

"Go away!" She yelled. Xavier was tired of it, he pinned Elena to the wall, looking into her eyes "let me explain, please" Elena turned her head to the side, not wanting to look at the blood that covered Xavier's face "talk" the girl hesitated to say.

Yes, this chapter is way shorter and I'm sorry but I think of it as kind of a filler chapter. There will be more long ones but the reason why it's short and not that interesting is because I am slowly developing new ideas for the future. So expect some good books!!!
