Chapter 10

Ashley's POV
*4 months pregnant*
Today is the day that we find out the gender and have a gender reveal party tonight
"Babe wake up we are late" I say shaking Luke
He jumps up kisses me and goes to get ready and we go to the truck
"I'm so sorry baby" he says sitting in the truck
"It's fine just go " I say laughing
Everytime we are in the truck he keeps his hand on my bump like he wants to protect the baby and I smile and keep my hand on his
We get to the doctor and we go back and they do an ultrasound
"It's a Girl" they say and I smile and tear up
Luke wipes my tears and kisses me
We get in the truck and he gets back out and plants a huge kiss on my lips and another one on my belly and I say "you're an amazing daddy" and I smile
"You're an amazing momma" he says kissing me again
He gets in and we head to the store to get supplies for the party
~ that night~
Everyone arrives and were in the back yard having a barbecue Luke and I already filled black balloons with pink glitter and we stand in from of everyone and pop them and everyone cheers
"It's a girl" we cheer
He kisses me and we are both crying a little and we wipe Each others tears
At the end of the party when everyone leaves they all congratulate us and I look at ourselves and our yard and I say "there's glitter everywhere"
"You look like someone threw up pink glitter on you" he says and I say "same to you too"
"Go shower I can clean up" I say
"No baby you go clean yourself up and I'll clean" he says
"Okay so does that mean I can take a warm bubble bath " I ask
"Anything you want" he says kissing me
I go inside and sit in the bath and sing to some of Luke's songs and feel the baby kick as I wash up
"Your pink glitter got all over mommy" I say to my belly
*Luke's POV *
I finish cleaning the yard and I sit outside the bathroom door and listen to Ashley singing my songs and talking to the baby and I just smile
I knock softly on the door "can daddy come in"I ask laughing a little
"Sure" Ashley says
"Hi beautiful" I say kissing her cheek
"Hi sexy" she says
"You're not pink anymore" I say laughing
"But you are" she squeals
"Give me your wash cloth" I say holding my hand out
I wipe my face and arms down and get the glitter off
"All better" she says smiling
"Help me up" she says
I help her up and get her in her robe
"Can we go to bed" she asks
"Sure baby" I say
"But first I want cuddle time" she says
I take her in my arms as we lay in bed and I just smile as I kiss her forehead and she falls asleep in my arms and I fall asleep too
