Note: The reason why Cygnuses respond interactively to non-Cybils too is because Cygnuses are very intelligent and understand any human, and not just Cybils. However, this intelligence is found only in Cygnuses - I consider them the cetaceans of Theia, only, they fly here ^^

Theia

The first month of Persephe

Arawakland

They were here as traders.

Building companies, building ports, with a level of sophistication seen never before in our land. All with the express consent of King Zion, with the utmost reverence to him, with the full recognition of his supremacy.

Somewhere along the way, they became warfare strategists.

It began, when they began to build forts in our land instead of companies.

Fifteen years.

For fifteen years, war raged on between King Xandrammes of Psykhe and King Agneya III of Kveil - kingdoms to the south of Arawakland.

With one of them, the Celts sided.

Counterintuitively, with the losing side.

Fifteen years have passed since I discovered a thin, silver chain with a tiny, six-pointed star locket studded with precious sapphires.

We have all grown a little older, a little wiser.

And with the little wisdom that the past years have bestowed on me, I would say that what we feel as counterintuitive more often than not feels so because our minds do not have the capacity to grasp the cold hard logic behind things. Most minds are feeble. For most minds are driven chiefly by raging emotions. Love and desire and anger and grief and needs and wants.

But take away these raging emotions, and the miasma clears, and what one is left with is a mind that can grasp cold hard logic.

A mind that the Celts possess.

Wars have always been a part of our vast land of six kingdoms, ruled by six different dynasties: Agneya of Kveil, Psykhe of Oxia, Freyr of Gaia, Okeanus of Galatia, Shinato of Reijin, and our own - Arawaks of Arawakland.

Out of these, the Celts have recently annexed Oxia, the news of which my dad had apparently got by 'divining it' as my twin brothers Leon and Louie had claimed.

Our Kingdom of Arawakland has always been fairly free of these wars, for we are tucked away safely to the north, hidden behind soaring mountain ranges - a mighty chain of six mountains called the Six Stones, and never mind it's plain name, it is believed to be exceedingly sacred by us Arawaks, for we believe that somewhere amid the frigid, steep white austerity of the mountains are hidden the legendary Six Stones - the name of which must never be taken in vain, for its value and power diminishes - which is why it is a particularly pernicious curse word among us.

"Oh, Stones!" Alex yells fervently to my left, his voice immediately drowned in the fresh howling winds of the skies, and he ducks behind Regulus's strong, graceful neck, clutching tighter, scrambling at silken, brilliant blue-green feathers with frantic fingers. "They saw us!"

"It doesn't matter you idiot!" Laurie yells back from atop Triton. Triton is hell-bent on trying to out-pace Regulus.

Regulus swings his neck at Triton and looks at him in challenge, before giving one powerful thump of his wings and surging ahead.

"How many times do I have to remind you that they like it?!" Laurie shouts, eyes squinting in exasperation. The wind floundering against her face isn't making her seem any less exasperated.
