I was so glad it was the weekend, otherwise i would of died if i had to go to school! Actually, i think i would of just slept through the lessons.
When i arrived back at home, i quickly walked to my bedroom, dodging my family so i wouldn't get a lecture on being late. I didn't really want them asking where i had been because they would of killed me if they found out where me and my friends went, plus i wasn't very good at lying...if i tried to lie, the people who i would be speaking too would instantly know by my uncomfortable reactions. So mostly i just try to dodge them so they would hopefully forget about it.
Putting my hover board back in the cupboard, i just crashed on the bed and daydreamed about the hover-boarding trip and imagined what would of happened if we had gotten caught by the guards. A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts,
"Hey Sam", Harry peaked his head round the door,
I tensed, i knew he was going to ask me where i had been, i tried to think of a good lie to come up with. My brain was literally running around, i could feel the gears in my head turning. I was so concentrating on thinking up a good lie that i hadn't heard Harry speak,
"Oops, sorry what did you say?" An apologetic expression crept on my face,
"I said, do you want to come to the shop with me? We need to buy bread for dinner tonight. We've run out."
The panic washed out of me, and i felt myself making a sigh of relief, phew. "Sure, when are we going?"
Harry scratched the back of his head, "I think we need to go now, mum told me she needed it as soon as possible."
"OK, i'll see you at the front door."
I dragged myself off my bed and went to get changed into some clean clothes, because i was wearing the clothes from last night and hadn't got any sleep...wow, I'm not tired yet? I put some loose combat trousers and a black, short sleeved t-shirt on, then pulled on my trainers.
Jogging up to the front door, Harry stood waiting for me, then looked up when he saw me, "Ready?"
"Yep!", I pulled the door open and walked out into the hallway, Harry following behind. Walking towards the stairs, we bumped into a neighbour who was just coming out of her door,
"Hi Georgia!" I called out to her politely, she was in her mid 80's and she always told me stories of the past and what it was like on land, with tree's growing anywhere they want instead of getting planted and how there were always animals about and that there was once a creature called a squirrel who always collected acorns and ran up trees. Of course now, they were extinct. There were so many other animals who became extinct too, like elephants, deer, lions and other animals, but mostly wild ones.
I wished these animals still existed, but hopefully there were still plenty of wildlife animals living on the small islands scattered around the sea. Georgia showed me the pictures of what the animals looked like and thought they looked so beautiful and how they have their own mind and reactions like us.
"Oh hello deary, where are you two off to?" a polite smile formed on her face when she saw us,
"Just going to get some food for dinner." Harry answered,
"Oh that's very kind of both of you to go shopping, well see you around." Georgia walked down the hallway past us and went towards the lift.
Running and jumping down the stairs, i shouted in joy when i came first at the bottom, beating Harry at a race. Harry gave me a dirty look then walked towards the exit. The sliding glass doors lifted above our heads when it sensed us coming then shot back down again when we were a few metres away from it.
