Not sleeping at all the previous night and being in the state she was she began to drive to Gabby's house. As soon as Gabby saw her tear stricken face and her messy hair and misshapen clothing Netflix was playing and pizza was ordered.

Both girls sat on the sofa with the popcorn between them silently as the movie played distracting Clarissa from the current situation.

It wasn't until the pizza was savagely devoured due to the growling of both their stomachs that Lissa began crying. Her story came out in hiccups and she tried to calm down. Returning the supportive friend favours of the past Gabby became protective and the vows she made resulting in Brett being horrifically injured scared Lissa slightly but knew her best friend had her back.

The next day they both attended school, makeup done to perfection and their outfit stunning enough to knock someone over. The complete recipe for boys who double cross girls and their other half.

The day began smoothly until lunch when Brett came sauntering into the dining hall without a care in the world. Both the girls' anger began to rise the longer he stayed. The tension and anger built up so high that Gabby finally snapped.

The whole school stood staring as Gabby confronted Brett, her vicious tongue slicing him with each word uttered. Strangely he didn't fight back, he took each blow more reluctantly each time. His only response was one word. His eyes pierced mine as he found me amongst the crowd. " Sorry" his faces was entwined with guilt and sorrow as he battled his way out of the circle formed around him and Gabby. Funnily enough Gabby wasn't amused by his lack of participation in a two way argument.

Our day had been cut short once more, this time by an actual emergency fire alarm we were dismissed and instructed to not attend tomorrow so the council could sort out the damage. A reminder of arson the stories of Brett circled again, each rumour farther from the truth than the last like a giant Chinese whispers game played by almost grown teens.

These rumours circulated back to the culprit who started them. Matty! Unfortunately Brett found him. He fists could be visibly seen entering and exiting the spinning ball of humans fighting with the yellow stars dancing around them like the cartoon fights. " Just wait till tonight! You're dead!" Spat Matt as Brett walked away almost unharmed as he flipped Matt the bird peeking a glance at me before riding away on his bike.

Due to the early dismissal, like normal, a party was planned and carried out in the matter of hours. The mansion house was party proofed, the kegs were delivered, the occupied bedrooms locked and an excessive amounts of alcohol and food was on display.

Gabby and Clarissa stood at the door of the unknown house staring at its grand interior. They donned beautiful dresses and perfect makeup ready to make the wrong guys jealous of the right ones. Gabby's dress was a sheer green floor length dress that gently kissed the floor as she sashayed across the make shift dance floor, the high neckline highlighting her breasts. Lissa's outfit on the other hand was less modest as she wore a plunging necked black body suit with laces crossed down the front until it met her red booty shorts which showed off her legs as she wore flat shoes.

Piling up the que in the doorway they entered rather timidly until they saw the kegs and the party began. They played games involved cards and kissing and every drinking game known to man. Barely coping with recent events Clarissa participated in all of the games getting drunk within her first six games.

More and more people joined the party, those from her school and even those from school in a 10 mile radius. As the crowds began fuller the lives of the party soon became evident as the first of many so called DJs were on the mic, the first one none other than Matthew. Great.

Seeing this Clarissa decided tonight was the night she became the reckless one and decided to see how far past her alcohol limit she can reach.

Unusually Gabby was the more sober of the two and played mother as Clarissa uncharacteristically danced the night away against any male or males in her close proximity and later the tables which were cleared of booze.

The clock striking midnight and as many party poopers decided to retire, Gabby took Cinderella outside for some fresh air. They sat on the side of the jacuzzi with their feet in the water. In the moonlight the water glinted reflecting the clear sky above. The music was stil audible but faint in the quite hour of the night.

Resting her head on Gabby's shoulder Gabby hugged Clarissa as she began to come down off her alcohol induced high and see the world spinning. To their dismay just as Clarissa was about to open up a staggering figure decided to appear to sit at the opposite end talking loudly and interrupting a perfectly good best friend moment.

"What do you want Matty?" Gabby venomously bit at him. Faking hurt he laughed and sighed looking up at the stars ignoring his clearly obliterated ex girlfriend and her friend.

Leaving him to himself the girls got up and retreated back to the party. Just as Clarissa was about to enter Brett came around the corner red eyed and a mess. Gabby withdrew from the interaction leaving the bickering love birds alone.

"Please talk to me." Shaking her head she stayed silent as he thought of the next scripted thing he was going to say. " I'm sorry, I really am. I just didn't think. Forgive me. I love you." Taken aback at his abrasive declaration he handed her his jacket as she stood shivering. Walking towards him he closed his eyes waiting for her retaliation. To both of their surprises she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him lightly on the cheek before going back inside leaving him alone on the patio.

The party soon dispersed as the police appeared and everyone, drunk or not fled from the premises.
