A seventeenth student.

Chapter 2

The next day Nozomi sat in her room as watching Mono worry what he was gonna wear on the date. She watched in amusment while sitting by the head of the bed as Mono had been wanting her advice on what to wear to their date. He wanted to look nice for it but she just wanted normal Mono.

"Come on. What do you want to see me in?" He whined.

"Your hoodie and jeans."

"Junko said i should dress nice and since she's like a sister I take her advice." He said dramatically as his arm went to cover his face, then turning and swooning onto her lap. "Don't you wanna see me dressed up?"

"Junko said she's giving us outfits. Apparently she thinks it would be adorable if we went with what she has planned." She began to run her hands through his hair absent mindedly. "You wanna go to the pool while we still have it? I mean after they get the second floor the only time we get that is nighttime."

"Pool sounds fun. So does the bath house." He smiled, as if he could anymore, giving a small laugh as if to suggest something

Groaning, she got up causing the two toned idiot to fall to the floor. "Don't push your luck. Go to your room and change. Its literally across the hallway."

"But up here is all destroyed and gross and I like being in your room." He stomped his foot like a child.

"I don't care. Go to your room and change into your swim suit. I'm getting in mine." She said pushing him out of the room shutting and locking the door.

Walking to the bathroom, She had begun to laugh softly. "To think that we would have fun during a killing game."

Geting changed, she was thankful to not be a student and instead, she had been able to change into a two piece dark blue swimsuit and tossed a towel over her shoulder. Walking out of her room, she knocked on Mono's room next to hers.

"Get out here. You take forever." She complained, tapping her foot expecting him to already be ready.

"I wouldn't take so long if I knew where my swim trunks are."

"You would find them if you cleaned your room."

"But I did. They're just being difficult."

"Whatever Monoboy. I'm heading to the pool."

"You don't know the secret passage to it."

"So? I'll figure it out." She said as she walked away.

Big mistake. It took no more than five minutes for her to get lost and have no clue as to where to go.

"Stupid Mono...can't clean his stupid room, can't get changed faster, can't put up signs and he'll just make fun of me for getting lost like he said I would."

"Upupupupupu."

"Monoboy I swear if you're laughing at me I will hurt you."

"Hey! Harm against the headmaster isn't allowed." He stated, holding his hands up in defense as he became easier to see.

"Well according to you I'm also the headmaster so you can't tell me what to do." She said as she quickly turned back to where she was facing before he had shown up. "Just show me how to get to the pool."

"Right this way." He spoke, knowing if he said he was right she'd pounce.

Following him through his maze of poorly lit hall he had created while she was erasing memories, they eventually got to the swimming area.

"It's gonna suck when these kids get to the pool." Mono commented as they entered the area.

"Oh hush. Other than that swimming girl, who do you think is gonna be in the pool? No what I'm worried about is if they reach the Data lab. That could unlock and everything we've worked for is gone!" She said as she hit his shoulder.

"Nozo-"

"Not to mention, what if Junko is found out as the mastermind and the Junko they know is really her sister? There would an uprising! What would happen to us?" She was being irrational but he knew full well it is something that could happen. However with an eye roll and a sigh, she had felt hands suddenly push her, and the cold water envelop her.

Quickly trying to figure up from down and coming up to the surface she looked up and glared at Mono, who was uncontrollably laughing.

"It's probably gonna happen sooner or later but who cares? If Junko ends up getting killed what's the worry? We will still be able to continue the killing game. We still have others. As for us, I'll take care of it if they try to kill us." He spoke so calmly she almost believed he had things under control "It just means things won't be okay." He said with a laugh.

"Yea whatever two face." She said beging to swim around, floating on her back. "All I'm saying is these kids are smart. There's only so much we can do. They have talents and pretty good ones at that."

"Doesn't matter. It's only a matter of time till someone dies, and you hold all the answers to the outside world but you know not to give that up."

"Of course I know not to. There isnt a point to tell them if they don't remember." She sighed as Mono jumped in to join her in the pool. "Besides it's my safe card."

They had decided to stray from the conversation and instead talk about whatever random bull came to mind including how their rooms could use a paint job. It wasn't to long of being in the pool before they were interupted by a Monokuma coming up to the edge of the pool and cleared its throat to talk.

"Ah Nozomi, Mono. The kids are in the cafeteria but there's no murder. Please speed this up for me." Junko's voice, undisguised came through it.

"Do we have a motive?" Mono asked.

"Yep! I have dvds in the av room. Have fun guys."

"And why do you not do it?" Nozomi groaned as she began to climb out of the pool.

"Do you know how much work im putting into this date? Just do it for me."

Rolling her eyes, she sighed and began to dry herself off. "Fine. We'll be down there in twenty minutes."

Making their way to their rooms to get cleaned up and changed, they began to make their way to the dining hall. Mono in black jeans and his hoodie while Nozomi was comfortable in her black jeans and white shirt. Meeting up with mono and heading downstairs she  felt him put something on her head. A bear eared headband. Turning her head to look at him she saw him wearing one as well with his face mask on as to not scare the children yet.

"Really?" She asked trying to hid a smile and her laughter.

"Yes really!" He exclaimed. "Heres a hoodie too...I have some extras and I was wearing this one earlier. We'll be matching!" He said keeping his head down as he blushed and kept his head down.

She slipped the hoodie on with a smile and bumped her hips into his to catch his attention, whispering a thank you before giving him a hug. The quickly made their way down and waited in the walls to listen to them. The only downside was how boring it was and if there's one thing Nozomi and Mono have in common, you can't leave them bored for to long or they get a little to chaotic.

"Thats it! I can't take it! Mono please do something so we can actually get some entertainment im gonna go crazy." She began to whine and buried her face into his arm. If it wasn't for this moment, he would have forgotten why she even joined the side of despair. As a Phycologist, she had studied the mind, what makes it tick, and she had grown bored. The only thing she was unable to figure out if despair and how it can effect others and she desperatly craved for more as she was never able to figure it out and she honestly never wanted to. Living around despair was like an addiction and she was coming off her high. Giving her head a pat, he nodded. Getting up, he slid through the secret area in the wall while the students were distracted and watched for a moment.

"So I'm wondering one thing, why are none of you dead yet!" He exclaimed, getting all of their attention. "I mean we have all the ingredients to make someone iching to kill but theres one final ingredient I'm clearly lacking..." He said as if he couldn't quite pin down what he needed.

"A motive." Nozomi began as she came out of hiding. She was smiling and quickly stood by Mono. The students, who from their only meeting with her had seen her as calm, was disturbed at how she was acting. "Speaking of, come to the av room. We have a surprise for you. Just a little treat."
