Recap: Why where they acting so strange? I thought as I walked to my first class.

I ran up stairs. Knowing no one was home. And jumped onto my bed.
"Ahh", I whispered to myself in pleasure. As I snuggled into my bed.
My head landed on my wet pillow from last night. Which reminded me about this morning and why my friends were acting so weird. I decided to text Chloe.
Chloe❤️: 3:55pm
E: Can I come over to your house I'm really bored soooo...?
I sat my head back and closed my eyes. I've been so tired because I haven't been sleeping well.
I heard a ding meaning someone texted me. It was Chloe. I picked up my phone and saw a text.
Chloe❤️: 4:00pm
C: Ya but you need to pick me up from volleyball at school.
E: Ya be ready in 10!
C: KK
I turned off my phone, and walked to the car. Then drove to school.
When I got to school, I waited in the parking lot for Chloe. I looked at my phone it was 4:06 she should be out any minute. Chloe was NEVER late.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Chloe knocked on the window of my car. Scaring the crap out of me. I unlocked my car so she could get in.
"Hey thanks for picking me up", she said.
"Ya no problem. I was really bored I had nothing to do so.." I said honestly. I started the car and drove toward her house.
It was silent in the car but decided to break it.
"What were you talking about this morning?" I looked at for her a second. She looked as if I caught her in a lie. Gilt crossed her face.
"Uhh-uh wha- what?" She stuttered. She would only stutters when she's either lying or nervous.
"Why are you lying?" I asked my voice hard.
"I'm uh-n-not", she said trying to control her stuttering. I at looked her trying to read her.
"You better stop lying!" I'm starting to get really mad why was she lying!!
"I know when your lying so stop!" I yelled at her. My grip on the steering wheel tightening and my knuckles turning white.
"I'm not lying, wha-what about t-this morning?" She asked
"You think it means anything?" "Does that ring a bell?" I quoted her from this morning. I was getting slightly more and more annoyed. She was avoiding the question.
"I- I d-d-di-didn't m-mm-mea-mean, "sigh" any-anything", she said taking a breath in between the sentence. She couldn't stop stuttering and was wouldn't look at me.
For the rest of the car ride to her house it was silence.

After the car ride she seemed really sad. I felt really bad. I could see her anxiety levels going up and I couldn't stand seeing her like this. Her eyes were becoming glassy.
We both got out of the car and started walking into the house but before she could go in.
"I'm sorry for being so rude to you I don't know what's gotten into me. I just feel like I'm getting closer to my birth parents and I'm sore all of the time!!" I said quietly but just loud enough so she could hear me.
She looked over her shoulder at me and smiled. Then turned the rest of her body and ran to me and hugged me.
"I forgive you", she said sincerely.
"Good but lets go inside because it's starting to rain", and with that she let go and ran to her house. I chuckled because she was struggling to to get the door open.
"My parents are in Mexico and my older brother... you know doesn't live here", she hesitated after talking about her older brother.
Her parents were always on work trips. I felt bad for her because her parents missed every thing.
At first her parents weren't going too come to graduation I felt so horrible. Well now there coming back a day before graduation.
We walked inside soaked.
"Can I borrow some clothes?" I asked her walking up stairs.
"Of course I'll be up in a sec". I went her room and changed. I began to walk back down the stairs when I heard Chloe on the phone.
"Ya Emily, I think is going to shift soon." What the hell?! Why is she talking about me. Oh and what the heck is a shift.
I didn't move so I could keep listening. I waited for Chloe to talk again.
"You can't be right that was suppose to happen 4 years ago when she was 13, she's 17 now!" I was supervised when I didn't hear Chloe but another person. I could hear the person on the other end of the phone!!!
I tried to ignore the fact that I had bionic hearing and kept listening.
"Well it's possible for some people if they grew up not knowing what they were. They push there Wolf back", Chloe said her voice hard.
"She's the Alpha's daughter for gods sake she should have turned forever ago!" Yelled the other voice. She whimpered.
"Sorry....", she whispered the last part so even I couldn't hear her.
I couldn't tell who was on the other line. I decided I had heard enough. I walked down the stairs loudly. So Chloe could hear me.
"Ya mom I've got to go", said Chloe into the phone trying her best not to stutter. Wow way to play it off. I obviously knew it wasn't her mom.
"I'm going to stay over night is that fine", I played it off as if I didn't hear anything.
"Ya of course." The rest of the night we spent talking and doing homework. I never brought it up knowing she wouldn't tell me.
I fell asleep thinking about the conversation I over heard and how hell I could hear the other end?!
Knowing that wasn't normal. But I needed sleep so my eyes become became sleepy and I fell into a deep slumber.
