I awoke the next day to the sound of knocking. I groaned and grabbed my phone from my bedside table. I turned it on to see the time. 9:23. There better be a good excuse on why I'm being woken up. I thought to myself.

"What!?" I yelled at the door, placing my phone back down.

"You and I are going to get you a new wardrobe. Get up," I heard Kip say. I groaned once more and pushed myself out of the comfort of my bed.  I went to my closet and grabbed a white long-sleeved shirt with the word "Dream" in cursive. I also snatched my pink leather jacket resembling the ones from Grease, but with the words "Day Dreamer" instead. I threw off my blue and white checkered pajama top and put on the shirt and jacket. I trudged over to my drawers opened the top, and grabbed a pair of blue jeans.

After getting changed, I was now wide awake and able to be semi-cheerful. I walked down the stairs and continued to the kitchen. There was a napkin with a piece of buttered toast and a cup of fruit juice on the counter. I grabbed both and ran out the door to the car. Kip had the key already in the front door lock, so I locked it and went to the car.

"So, why is it that all of a sudden I must get new clothes?" I asked him after buckling into my seat.

"Maybe because Mom called saying that they are coming down to visit and she thinks that you are a changed person?" he replied.

"What!? Why would she think that?"

"Because I told her so," Kip shrugged. I sighed and decided on to turn on the radio. Immediately, one of our favorite songs came on. Kip and I shared a look before belting the chorus. Once the song ended, we were both laughing at our weirdness. Even if we are sarcastic and rude to each other, I don't think we could have a better relationship.
