Yein's POV

I breathed as I wait for my turn. I kept on rubbing my hands and continuously tapped my feet. I don't even know why I agreed on this. I could've backed out but it seems like Jungkook won't even take a 'no' as an answer. And most of all, I do not even know why he's doing this for me. Like dude seriously? What's the catch?

"Wait, Lee Yein's back in the team?"

"Lee Yein? The former gymnast? She was a legend but she quitted and now she's back? "

"Minari's probably shaking right now."

"I'm rooting for Lee Yein. Minari got some attitude problems. She can be a bad bitch."

[A/N: Listen here yall. Minari here isnt Twice's Mina lol. She's too precious and soft for this bad bitch role]

I looked for a gymnast who's a bit kind-looking or someone who seems to give off a gentle aura. It seems like everyone's aggressive right now. I spotted a girl who is currently spacing out. I approached her and tapped her shoulder. She looked up and her eyes widened.

"Lee Yein?" She said, eyes still widened and she looked somewhat surprised at my sudden appearance.

"Jung Yein." I didn't want to admit but I can't keep on lying to myself. She was a bit confused but then she smiled at me and bowed at me cutely.

"It's really an honor. Yein-ssi---" I cut her off because she's being too formal and I'm not really that great either.

"Enough with the formalities. I'm not that great but thanks for thinking of me that way." I gave a her a smile and nodded.

"I'm Cheng Xiao. Obviously not a korean haha" I was surprised since she sounds like she's fluent at all. Almost everyone in this room is still gosipping while glancing at me.

"It seems like everyone is rooting for you Yein. Ever since you quitted, that brat took over and acted like she's all that, saying she's better than you and even tries to step on us. Only God knows how much we want Minari gone from the position." As soon as she said that, the door opened widely revealing a fierce-looking girl and everyone stopped on whatever they're doing.

"Tsk. Bunch of losers." The girl said while she tried to walk as if she's the queen. Some of the girls secretly rolled her eyes at her. Her eyes landed at me and she looked surprised at first but then changed her expression.

"Back at it again? Such loser like you won't take away this position. Not anymore." If anyone in this room is a loser, that's probably you missy. Oh, not probably but definitely. Definitely a loser. I sighed heavily as I tried to calm myself down. I counted from 1 to 10 before I decided to speak.

"We'll see about that then." The girl at the back secretly cheered for me and I only gave them a smile. It seems like Nari has been mistreating them. I won't let this opportunity slip through my fingers anymore. Hitting two birds at one stone? I'll have to try.

"Lee Yein-ssi?" My hands began to sweat as someone called my name, thinking it's gonna be turn now. I approached the lady but she handed out something, somewhat a letter or a note?

"Someone asked me to hand this to you." She bowed before leaving and I was left confused. I opened the small note and immediately smiled.

My water deer can do it! Slay 'em baby girl

Only one person calls me 'water deer' and it's the cocky bastard aka Jeon Jungkook. I folded it back and put it safely inside my bag. It was Minari's turn and everyone was kind of frozen when the lady announced her turn. She gave one last smirk to me and i can only stare at her blankly.

Cheng Xiao looked at me as if she's trying to tell me that I should definitely win the position. Minari went back with a smile on her face as if she won already.

"Jung Yein?" The lady called and I immediately stood up. She smiled at me , signalling me that it's my turn. I took a deep breath before stepping out of the room.

As soon as I reached the gym. I spotted Jungkook with girls trying to hide their squeals beside him. He smiled at me and mouthed 'fighting'. I faintly smiled as I was feeling nervous.

"It's nice to see you again Yein. If you're still that gymnast Yein we've witnessed before, then there's no doubt you'll take the position again. You can start now." My former coach said as she smiled at me. I began my performance as the music starts to play.

I glanced at the side and saw Mina glaring at me. I continued my performance without getting bothered by Mina's glare. The girls joined her watching the performance and they squealed as I finished it. Mina stomped and walked out of the gym.

The coach have a big smile planted on her face and I can only sigh in relief. I glanced at Jungkook's side and I was surprised to see his friends with him, continuously teasing him and the others cheered for me.

Everything has been going well ever since I met that bastard, i guess good things will start coming in my way....

or at least that's what I thought....
