(MAPLELEAF'S POV)
I awoke nervous and excited to get going to the clearing to see Wolfstripe.
My feelings for him may not be right... but I know they're true! I thought my heart pounding with excitement and nerves.
I leaped around camp waiting for sundown when we said we would meet. I was trying to think of a good excuse if someone asked me where I was going. I decided on simply telling them I was getting herbs. I tried to calm myself down in case someone asked so I sat down with a sparrow to eat. I felt the warm flesh as I bit into it, feeling a spark of electricity go through my body. I looked around at the clan seeing everything happy and fine.
Finally when it came I was so excited I leaped up and was about to run out of camp when I heard an annoying,
"Where are you going?"
It was Juniperpaw.
"T-To get herbs..." I meowed trying to look confident.
"Why are you so excited then" He sniggered, "I thought that's supposed to be boring!"
"No! N-Not always" I meowed standing up tall, "Well I have to go before it gets dark" I concluded, daring him to say another word.
"Ugh! Fine go get your herbs!!" He hissed, and I bolted out of camp rushing as fast as possible.
