(MAPLELEAF'S POV)
Wolfstripe's eyes lit up and then faded back to purple.
"I'm sorry" He muttered.
I stared at him still shaking, but I pushed my nose into his soft brown fur and mumbled,
"No matter what curse you have... I will always be here"
"Thank you..." He meowed back, relief in his sorrowful purple eyes.
I took my face from his fur as he said,
"Let's get down from here"
"Yes" I agreed quietly, and jumped nimbly down from branch to branch in silence.
The rest of the night till dawn we just had fun, and tried to forget what had happened.
"I'm so sorry you had to see that half of me..." He mewed at dawn, "I will see you at the next gathering" without waiting for an answer he stalked away.
I watched him leave feeling my heartbeat in my ears. I knew I loved him and couldn't wait to see him next, that was the best night I had had in a long time.
