The start of something beautiful

My eyes fly open as my heart comes alive with one beat after another as I connect my feet to the floor, thumping on the ground at the same pace. It is amazing how fast a person can move with the right motivation; mine being school starts- 5 minutes ago. Great. I'm not usually the type to make a habit of being late, but sadly I've been not sleeping very well. I blame it on stress at school but you can't really complain for something so simple. So as I am bitterly running towards school questioning if it would be to late to call in sick. Oh! I forgot....I have 2 quizzes today I can't be "sick" unless I want to fail both. This information is only going to stay in for so long. School was in sight but the absence of students didn't give me any comfort of not being the only one, because I was.

Once I got to class my head came in a bitter sweet contact with my desk. I was breathing heavily while receiving weird looks from my peers. At this point I didn't care I was able to get here before 3rd class started so that's an accomplishment. Once we got to lunch my friends came up to me to ask what happened. I only explained in small increments without much detail.

"So are you hyped or what?" Hannah ,one of my friends, asked. She has blondish hair and is shy but enthusiastic once you talk about something she likes which is usually sports anime.

"Yes I'm very hyped about being late to school and barely getting by with a warning" I said sarcasm prevalent in every word.

"I don't think that's what she's talking about" Josh ,my friend from back in 5th grade, said in a sort of obvious way. He had short brownish-blonde hair and a pretty innocent personality but is also able to appreciate other humor.

"Yea I'm talking about how we all saved up for Pax East, it's only in a few more days. I had totally forgotten this detail but got a sudden boost of happiness once again.

"Should we dress up?" This was brought up by Josh in the heat of the conversation.

"Of course this is a once in a life time thing might as well live it up" I proposed gladly lifting my arm up in the air as if I were holding a wine glass.

"In moderation though, I wouldn't want to do anything we will regret" of course I was just joking around Josh brought it up as a precaution.

"Yea I don't think any of us are outgoing enough to do anything to reckless" Hannah brought up a good point.

Lunch ended quickly and it was back to normal school life aka tests homework and more tests. A sudden feeling of relief washed over me as the final bell for school rang out in the ears of its ever eager listeners. I stretched my self before grabbing my things and leaving for the day. After getting home I took a bath and feel asleep on my bed.

I awoke wondering if the dream I had was real or if I was still sleeping. My body felt so groggy I could faintly remember my dream as a person that scared me but also felt comfortable at the same time. They were talking but I only heard weird noises that I couldn't quite remember. My mind was confusing itself trying to piece it together so I just left it be and got ready for school.

"So wait what did the person look like?" She asked curious of the dream I had more so then I was.

"I don't remember exactly his hair kept changing I think like hmmm." I couldn't quite remember but I do remember something about him being incoherent at times.

"Weird" he said intrigued almost as if he wished he had the dream.

"I don't know how else to explain in but it felt very vivid." The dream kept in my mind throughout the day until the end. I was trying to recreate the spectacle in my mind with little to no real progress. Again, I decided to just leave the topic completely and focus on the goal for tomorrow; we are going to a life changing convention. The days came a went and as soon as I knew it we were in a car going to Pax. We decided to room in a hotel near by but not so close to deal with to much traffic, also the fact of the price difference. In the end Josh had to rent his own room because it would have been awkward to have him be the only male in the room especially changing and sleeping arrangements.

"I call the bed next to the air conditioner" I spoke up very adamant about it.

"Oh sure I don't like being too cold anyways"

"That worked out then" we both smiled at each other then settled down and went to bed.
