The big day

I wake from a cold sweat as I frantically check the time 10 min till midnight. The light from my phone thankfully didn't wake up Hannah who was in the other bed. My mind tries to recall what caused me to wake up so frightened. As I try to remind myself of the nightmare the only thing I could remember was darkness and a thick black fog that barely contrasted to the void background. Even though Hannah was in the room with me I could feel the isolation creep in just from what I felt in that nightmare. I tried to ease myself and lay back down; we have a big day tomorrow....today? Looking back at my phone....today yep 1:01 great.

A shine broke through the darkness of my closed eyes, pestering me until I wake. Once I do eventually lift myself from my bed, which was no easy task mind you, I was greeted with Hannah completely ready. I also got ready in a quick hurry and walked out the door along with Hannah. The feeling of forgetting something got to me but I was sure I had everything. I check anyways wallet, badge, all parts of costume, both friends, and OH! I ran back to get all the fan art I made ever since I could draw 'decent'.  My friends were left with swift wind when I left and as I came back. Their confusion was dispersed when they saw me putting the art book in my bag.

"Can't forget this heh", I laughed

"Yea that would have been bad"

"Glad ya remembered"

We all set out in this new adventure heading our way back to the convention of hopes and dreams. The first event came and went then the second and it was kind of sad watch the day go by so fast almost even tragic. In the end that only meant it was almost time to stand in line for hours just to get a glimpse of Jack and Mark in the flesh. I have a mission to fulfill a very important package......well to me at least....maybe he won't like it as much....but still I have to, can't back down now.

We reached the line it was finally time, finally here, the moment I've been dreaming about. My hopes may be to high for what will actually happen when I come into contact with him....again. The line was unbearably slow but friends made it go by faster, about the speed of a crawl a painful crawl. We eventually made it to where we could see Mark, the light was in sight.

"There he is" I announced to my friends as if they didn't see him.

"Oh yea um" Josh seemed to be at a loss for words. We inched closer and closer until we reached it. Markiplier looked really happy seeing all his friends, but as we approached him he acted a little off.

"Oh um I'm sorry I need to use the facilities excuse me real quick" as he said this he got up real quick and walked off to apparently the bathroom. I think my luck has just ended and I felt a little crushed inside. Glancing around others were also a little befuddled at this but still understood. The people in charge of this shindig seemed stressed to the max. They were probably thinking of how they are going to get this line finished within the allotted amount of time given. Within a few minutes Mark came back and everyone was excited and over joyed.

"Sorry about that, how's your day at Pax going?" He seemed definitely different some how. Something has changed the way he held himself it wasn't the goof ball I knew. It was like his movements were planed to a "t", almost controlled or forced.

"G-good here I don't know if I'm allowed to g-give you this but here um enjoy....I hope!" I quivered as I spoke and bowed my head as I handed him the folder. Out of the cornered my eyes I could see my friends teetering on laughing or being concerned.

"Oh thanks I can't wait to look at it later" he gave his best warm smile and then we were escorted away when Mark signed one of the drawings and handed it to me.

"You should keep one to remember this event by"

"T-t-thanks" I felt heat burn my face. Once we got a good distance away, and there was few people around, my friends exploded in excitement.

"That didn't happen....did it?"

"How can one person be so lucky!"

"I don't know....I'm kinda scared on what I did to deserve it....did I like save an angel or like do anything miraculous...no I have nothing to get such treatment in life.

"Which drawing was is?" Josh asked curious about that whole event.

"Um I think..." I looked at it myself "it's the one where he is laughing"

"That's so cool" Hannah was just as ecstatic about this. None of us would be able to sleep after this whole moment in time. We were probably never going to forget this day either or yesterday for that matter. After the day ended we headed back to the hotel to enjoy our time to rant about the day. We all were reminiscing of the convention and laughing about all the good and the few bad things but I was all worth it in the end. Tomorrow is the last day and I don't think none of us were ready for it to be honest.
