So I got Tumblr the other day... You know this story isn't going to end well.
I thought it would be a good idea to read anti Cassandra Clare rants.
Do you know what the main problem they have is? Do you? do you? The progressiveness of the characters... character, and her treating her POC characters like everyone else, because apparently the only people who should be villainized or have any bad traits are straight white males, because anything else and you're sexist, homophobic or racist.
It's not like when you're trying to make everyone equal you have bad characteristics in your white females so you have bad characteristics in your Mexican females, or your black females, or your asian females, and you have bad characteristics in your males, so you have bad characteristics in your females. You have bad characteristics in your trans characters, so you have bad characteristics in your cis characters. It's common logic! It just makes everyone equal! If only straight white males are the ones who are villains or have bad characteristics and no one's homophobic or biphobic or, whatever the fuck, that's 1.) completely unrealistic and 2.) just awful! It's showing that everyone else gets special treatment just because they're not a straight white male because straight white males are the devil right? *eye roll*
I feel bad for them, they're so villainized in today's society and a lot of them are fucking sweethearts! A lot of straight white males that I have met are awesome people that everyone makes them out to be the villain just because they're "not diverse enough" it just sad. Why can't everyone just be equal and we can just be done with that? No there always has to be a second step, if everyone's treated equal then people who are diverse want special privileges. They want to be seen as angels and it's just that's not how it works!
