Chapter Twelve

Gulping as he for closer, Zack swallowed one but of saliva that didn't need to be in his way.

He watched as everyone slowly for their turns getting on and off the ride.

Was he scared? Nope. He was frightened. Sure slides and hills were okay but rides that involve going into the air? Nope!

Zack couldn't even last a minute on a plane ride if he were able to travel around the world.

It was likely in this kind of situations that Zack would make an excuse saying he has a bag stomach ache or he needed to use the restroom. But this was Clark he was talking about.

"You feeling alright Zack? You look a bit pale." Clark asked worriedly.

"Oh me? I'm fine, its just a bit chilly here" Zack responded trying not to ruin their moment.

"I could give you m-"

"No! I mean no its F-fine" Zack said cutting off Clark.

Clark wandered to himself about how far this date was going. He was starting to worry now, as the man that stood next to him was pale and shaking? Offering him the Jacket that he was using was no use, but just a rejection instead.

Was Zack afraid of heights?

As they slowly got closer the ride, Clark watched as the shaking became more slightly noticeable.

"Zack, I'm worried you m-"

"Jesus Clark I'm fine! Can't you see that?!" Zack states as he glared at Clark.

What was going on?

He didn't mean to shout towards Clark but his voice was suddenly raised. Putting his head down in regret, Zack waited patiently until it was their turn.

Getting on the ride while it squeaked and moved by just a touch, Zack felt his heart beat faster than ever.

Looking to his right he saw Calrk looking towards the ocean view, silently not to bother him.

How was he going to apologise to Clark about earlier? He didn't know why his voice was suddenly raised by Clark just asking him if he was okay, it felt as if he was being controlled over.

Sighing, Zack decided to speak up not wanting the day to end bad.

"I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to yell at you. I-i just don't know what happened. " Zack apologised, hoping Clark would accept his apology.

"Its fine, it probably my fault asking too much questions"

"No you were just wondering if I was okay and I was just being a butt" Zack said as he played with his fingers.

"Zack.."

"Mhmm?" Zack replied as he turned towards Clark and held his breath.

Zack watched as the bright baby blue eys stared into his. What was this feeling? He had the sudden need of comfort and happiness as he looked into Clark eyes.

Could it be?

"Mate"

Muuahahwahah, anyways guys you will learn about what the last few lines meant! Which will explain Zack's past life.

If you're reading this: Yes i did add a few scenes where Zack felt electricity during his first meeting with Clark but the next chapter will explain why Zack hasn't figured out Clark was his mate after all.
