Maddison.

I woke up in a bed, Lou's bed. Throwing the covers off of me, I got up, stretching, I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair is every where but my face looks quite peaceful, I smiled at my reflection and ran my fingers through my hair, it took forever because my hair is waist length and I haven't combed it in a while. I walked out of the room and downstairs, seeing Lou, on the couch. He's sleeping, I feel really bad for letting him sleep on the couch. I walked closer to see his eyebrows furrowed and a frown on his face, he moved his head from side to side, scaring me a little.

"No,no,no, don't leave. El, please." he whispered. I put a hand on his shoulder and shook him a little, he didn't wake up.

"Lou." I said, shaking him again.

"El?" he asked, I sighed.

"No, it's Maddy." I said, gently. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. I sat next to him, staring at him for a bit.

"Who is El?" I asked.

"Eleanor, my runaway bride" he said, resting his head in his hands. It's my turn to comfort him. I put a hand on his back and rubbed it reassuringly. He took a deep breath and turned towards me.

"Ice cream?" he asked, I nodded and folded my legs Indian style while he went into the kitchen. He came back with two small tubs of ice cream, one 'Chunky Monkey' and one 'Moose Tracks'. He held them both to me, letting me choose. I chose 'Mouse Tracks' , Lou plopped down next to me, pulling covers over the both of us. I sat back, noticing a pigeon on the coffe table.

"That's Kevin." he said and reached for it, he put it on my lap. I took it in my hands, putting my ice cream on the table. It's weird how real it feels, I pet it, feeling the feathers, earning a chuckle from Lou.

"What?" I asked, defensively, he shook his head, pursing his lips together, an eyebrow raised.

"Nothing, I just thought you'd be freaked out." he said. I picked up my ice cream again, putting a spoon in my mouth.

"Nah, I like Kevin." I said, smiling.

"Kevin likes you too" he said, making me giggle.

"I meant to ask you, do you want me to take you home to. get clothes." he asked after a while of silence, I cleared my throat.

"I don't have a home. The bank owns it now." I said, taking another spoon of ice cream.

"I'll give you money to take you shopping."

"No, Lou I can't take your money"

"I'm giving it to you, if you don't take it I'll be sad all day." he said poking his bottom lip out. I closed my eyes, folding my arms across my chest.

"No."

"Fine." he said, fake sobbing, I opened one eye, giggling at how silly we are.

"Okay." I groaned, he chuckled and smiled at me.

"You can go lazy for today and pick out a pair of sweats from my drawer, I nodded and finished up my ice cream getting changed in a pair of red sweats and a red and white stripped shirt, slipping on my shoes. I went down stairs, then Lou went up. He came back down in grey sweats, a dark blue shirt, a dark blue beanie and dark blue sneakers. He handed me a red hoodie he had in his hands.

"It's probably Chilly, put it on" he said, I took it and pulled it on, Lou got a dark blue one that was hanging on the doorknob to the patio.

"There's one thing that I must tell you."

"What is it?"

"People, mostly young girls will go crazy when they see me." He said, scratching the back of his neck.
