I stretched my legs across the couch, having to lay them across Louis’ lap, he rested his forearms across them, occasionally sipping his drink and hollering. We’re in the studio with some security, Paul Lou and Lux. They’ve been watching football for a while, its Manchester United vs Chelsea FC. Manchester United is Louis’ favorite team. I leaned against the arm rest and groaned, I’m starting to get a headache from all the noise, as if on cue my phone vibrated in my hands. It’s Liza, hopefully calling to save me. I tapped Louis so I wouldn’t spill his drink, he looked over towards me for a second, then back at the TV, moving his arms. I stood up and slipped on my flats, calling Liza back after I went out on the balcony, waving to a few fans.

“Hello? Maddy?”

“Yeah, what’d you call for?”

“I wanted to see if you wanted to come down to the beach with me and a friend? It’s going to be a long drive but it’s worth it?” she said, more or a question though.

“Sure but I don’t have a-“

“No problem I could lend you one, there’s this really two pieces with a high-waist bottom that I think would look adorable on you”

“Okay, I guess, just let me shower first.” I told her.

“Okay, be quick.” She told me, I hung up and went back in to see almost nobody in the lounge room.

“Commercials” Louis explained, I nodded and grabbed my jacket, pulling it on.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

“With Liza, we’re going to be gone for a while I’ll call you later.” I said, he nodded.

“Be careful” I nodded and shut the door behind me, I was escorted out the back by security and I walked a bit before catching a cab. It’s getting warmer out here but not warm enough to go to the beach, the weather is still too bi-polar.

I paid the guy in the front and unlocked, the flat, going up to Louis’s room and showering. It tried to make it fast but I ended up taking a half hour.  I lotioned and put on a white sundress before calling Liza again.

“Are you ready yet?”

“I’m just waiting on you to bring the bathing suit.” I told her.

“Good because I’m outside” she said, just as I heard a knock both from the phone and the door. I hung up and went to go open the door, sure enough she was there, and she gave me a white bag.

“Put it on. I wanna see.” she said, I went upstairs and to the bathroom and pulled it on quickly. The top is pink and blue with a fringe top and the bottom is blue with three buttons lining the sides. I walked out with it on, feeling a bit self-conscious.

“It looks amazing on you” she squealed, I smiled and pulled my sundress over it, slipping on a pair of sandals.

“Time to go” she said, I nodded and followed her out to the car it’s a red pickup truck, she climbed in the back, holding her hand out for me, I took it and she helped me up.

“You guys ready?” a guy asked from the front and we both nodded. The car soon took off, knocking the air from my lungs for a few seconds but I got used to the feeling eventually and sat on one of the crates that’s back here, the rush I’m getting from sitting in the back is amazing.

“Drink?” Liza, asked holding out a corona, I shook my head.

“Why not?”

“I don’t drink.” I told her, hoping she won’t press on.

“Fine, here.” She said, tossing me a soda, it’s Pepsi, I prefer coke but I cracked it open anyways, taking the first sip. It always makes my eyes water and nose burn.
