She didn't have much time left, the hourglass of time was dropping its last remaining specs of sand. There she was running as fast as she could through the mighty timberland leaving a silver mist behind her.

Anya knew of the consequences she would bring because of her choice. The darkness, the loss of control the world would have to bare because of this decision.

Anya sensed the entry way to her people's kingdom before she saw it. The aura of the earth changed from a dense musky humid forest to a dazzling clear space of abnormal air, the differences between the two dimensions was unknown to the normal mind. She would have to put up a blockade between the dimensions because if she didn't, her people would become a chaotic area filled with death and reek of destruction.

Anya's life would be taken upon doing this because of the power and great strength it would take from her body. The amount of power to provide a barrier between the worlds was undiscoverable.

The world would forget the mark Anya has made on the world, they would forget the protectiveness she brought, for she was the one who gave balance. The control of the supernatural and human minds of not to cause chaos or anarchy for there will be consequences would be absent and the population of the world would be free to do as they please. Anya was the one who equalized the world and for her to be gone the earth would become a disaster.

Anya would have to harvest her power to create an illusion. Of where the normal world would just continue on and not reveal their kingdom, and where they would never notice the change.

Anya knelt down to the ground and put her hands into the soil below her. With much force, she pushed her strength into the ground. Anya focused through the all the pain and the life draining from her veins in order to save her nation from the afterlife that wanted her people deceased.

Up became roots that were a base for an invisible force that covered her people's home and it was strengthened unable of destruction. Moss covered the wooded base and golds flecks could be seen from the opposite side of Anya, a reminder of her power in order to create the force filled.

Anya knew she had only a few minutes remaining, she mind-linked Ivan, her one true ally who would stand beside her in any situation no matter how dark it was this is for the greater good, "don't do anything rash, my friend. I love you and I will find you and see you in the next life."

With her last fleeting moments, she finished the illusion of where the path continued on and no one would be able to notice the change. Anya collapsed to the ground her with her legs sideways and her stomach facing towards the sky.

Anya's last sights and thoughts were of her looking up at the sky and thinking this beautiful magnificent planet is not where the darkness lies but inside the minds of every creature living, whether they are human or supernatural. Hopefully, they cherish the world and they know not to ruin the earth for that would be far more painful than anything but death.

One lonesome tear slid down from her right eye. Anya's last breath was taken, her heart stopped pumping, her blood stopped flowing through her veins, and finally, she passed into a never ending sleep.

The world felt the goodness and power through her body stop and sent out vast enraged storm clouds that grieved in her absence, whimpering howling winds sought her back, for the life that ended.

Ivan felt the change in the air, the more bitter and coldness right away. His heart shattered, he wailed and screamed for her, wishing she didn't make the choice she did. There could have been another way, there always was he thought, the years fighting for peace and happiness was for nothing if it was going to be forgotten and turned into a story. Ivan was enraged, he wanted the people to feel the pain he felt.

Ivan realized that life was never fair and people will die no matter what you did, even if you fought or did something about it. He knew he would flee, leave the kingdom and be forgotten as Anya has. He would vanish into thin air because he thought the world didn't deserve their protection.

The people that remained, who still believed in their cause. Took Anya's body to cherished place for her to sleep in peace and to not be disturbed. It was a cave where they brought her, with moss covered rocks, the moss was similar to sleeping on a real bed so she would be in comfort even in eternal sleep. There was a small water fall that gave the illusion of there to be lights shining through crystals. The air was clear and beautiful comparable to Anya. They sealed the cave off so no one could get in, but only from the inside could it be unsealed.

What Anya's people didn't know was that if her blockade was disturbed or unlined in any way Anya shall be reawakened. The barrier will collapse and all the power taken into making it shall be restored from where it came from. Anya will awake and restore the world to where it once was.
