I rolled over onto my stomach and moaned into my pillow. This was the shortest, yet longest, summer vacation ever. I sat up and crossed my legs. The little sunlight peaking in through my grey drapes was blinding and I squinted against the pain.
Today was either going to be unbearable or really unbearable, and my mood was suggesting the latter. I stretched then dragged my self out of the warm quilts and shuffled over to my dresser. I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and my underclothes then walked over to my closet and pulled down a tight grey tank top and my black and red Black Veil Brides hoodie.
I dressed slowly and let my thoughts rest on the year ahead. Senior year. I should be exited to get my life started and be able to move forward closer to my future, but truth be told, I really couldn't care less what year it was, they're all the same routine. The same boring routine. I was excited though, for the fact that I had taken guitar this year. I already knew how to play it moderately well, but I needed some serious practice with the intonation. Can't hold a tune worth shit.
After I was dressed I walked down the hall to the bathroom and brushed out my long black hair. Today it wanted to cooperate, witch brightened my mood. But not by much.
I did my makeup fast but not so fast as to look rushed, and then headed to the kitchen. Bacon the cat was lounging casually on the table and when he saw me he arched his back and hissed.
"Shut up, overgrown rat." I muttered. He used to be mine, until my mom died when I was eleven and now he can't stand to be in the same room as me. I sat down at the table and sorted through my bag, making sure I had everything I needed.
I looked up to see Bacon glaring at me from across the counter. I threw a pencil at him, "Don't you have better things to do?"
He growled and jumped down to wander off down the hall.
Mason Hays High School (MHHS) was a couple blocks down so it usually didn't take long to get there, but I was stalling. I sighed as I slid out of my seat with my bag over my shoulder.
'This is gonna be a long day' I thought as I opened the front door and stepped off the porch, 'Who am I kidding. This is gonna be a long year'

Sorry this was so short. I was having writers block, but the next chapter will be longer.
