Chapter Four; Arguements

Carly looks at Joey's seat which has been empty for the past twenty minutes. She figures that he wasn't going to come back after the first ten went by.
"Jordan, where is Joey? Normally I tolerate it pretty well but it's getting to the point where it's just old." Carly frowns and Jordan looks around at everyone writing in their notes to Joey's empty seat.
Jordan sighed and looked at the stack of papers on his desk, back to Carly.
"Speaking of people skipping class, has anyone seen Mitch?" He asks the last part to the class who all looks up and shakes their heads no.
"Jord, how about a follow up question, who care where he is?" Everyone laughs at Jace's question except Jordan who glares at Jace.
"See me after class, Jason."
"Ugh I thought I told everyone not to call me that." Jace groans and slumps down in his chair while Luke and Felix laugh at the look on his face.
"And I thought I made it clear for you not to call me by my nickname the last class." Jordan raised an eyebrow and Jace stays quiet.
"Carly, take over for a while. I need to find where he went." Jordan starts to walk out of the classroom.
"Whoa." Mitch says as Jordan bumps into him at he door.
"Mitch where were you all day? You complain about not being in charge and here you are, acting more immature than half of our students." Jordan crosses his arms and gets a scowl from Mitch.
"I know when you say immature you mean me." Felix says with a crooked smile on his face.
"No I don't-"
"Yes he does, Felix. Jordan? Why don't you just stop lying to all of your 'favorite students' and drop the act so you all can see just how nice he really is." Mitch walks up the the front of the room with heavy footsteps.
"Mitch what are you talking about?" Jordan crosses his arms and looks at Mitch warily.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Can't go one evening without hearing everything you don't like about teaching."
"I never said anything about not liking teaching!" Jordan's voice started to raise.
"My god Mitch! I'm sorry that you didn't get the position at this camp that you wanted, but they put me in charge, so deal with it, and stop trying to fight your way into it, there's a reason that you aren't in charge and that's because you don't know how to act your age!" Jordan walks out of the school, slamming the door shut.
"Jordan, wait!" Zoey gets out of her seat and runs out of the school to see her brother.
Everyone else in class sat quietly as Mitch was next to storm out.
"Alright, take a day off guys, no ones leaving to town this time so maybe get some training in." Carly follows Mitch out of the door and everyone quietly gets up from their seats.

"Hey guys, you're here early." Lucie says from behind the counter as she places a rack of chocolate dipped strawberries off to the side.
"Yeah Jordan and Mitch had another cat fight so Carly let us out early." Jace says and walks up to the display of strawberries.
"Are these for us?"
"Hey! Hands off!"
Lucie slaps Jace's hand out of the way when he reaches for one.
"I'm being evaluated today and these are for the desert test. You guys do know that I'm here for training, right?"
"Yeah, Jordan told us." Ella answered.
"So Lucie, you have a plan for dinner?" Luke asks while playing with a leftover fork on the table.
"Not tonight, Elliot's cooking."
"Oh no! That hag is still here?" Felix drops his phone onto the table and stares at Lucie with wide eyes.
"Her cooking isn't bad! And she's honestly really nice, I spend so much time in the kitchen with her that I know all of her cooking secrets!"
"Should we be worried when you say 'secrets'?" Jace asks sarcastically.
"Totally." Lucie drags out the "o" syllable and rolls her eyes, then turns on her heel and walks back into the kitchen.
"No, I told you I wasn't going to take back anything I said it's true!" Mitch yells at Jordan as they both swing open the doors to the cafeteria and walk in.
The two teachers stand across from each other with their arms folded over their chests, and a scowl on their faces.
"Someone record this." Melody whispers to the others as they all watch them.
"When will you finally admit that all you're saying is out of spite."
"When will you finally admit all you do is take my credit."
"When you get off your lazy butt and actually do something around here for once!"
"I do way more than you!"
Elliot walks out of the kitchen hitting two pans against each other and yelling at them.
"WHATEVER THIS IS I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT IN MY KITCHEN, TAKE THIS OUTSIDE."
"Elliot close your mouth for once, because if I want to I can easily fire you before you can say 'dinner'." Jordan quickly closes his mouth after he realized what he said.
Jace starts snickering and Luke smacks him up top the head motioning it's not the time.
Elliot's look turns into one of concern.
"Don't worry, Elliot. I've always liked you, and with me in charge, you wouldn't have to worry about getting fired." Mitch says as he puts an arm around Elliot and gives Jordan a mocking smile.
"Get off of me." Elliot shoves Mitch over and glares at Jordan.
"Elliot I didn't mean it, it slipped out!"
"And so did this." Elliot stomps on Jordan's foot, the same one that Joey shot months back but still isn't healed all the way.
"I deserved that." Jordan grimaces and watches Elliot walk away angrily.
Mitch turns to walk out the door and leans toward Jordan and says quietly,
"Better stop making everyone hate you."
Jordan watches Mitch leave and looks to his right where all the students are staring at the scene.
"Why aren't you guys in school?"
"Carly gave us the day off after you and Mitch left.."
Mackenzie answers wondering what his reaction will be.
"Great, now because of me you're missing an important lesson." Jordan places a hand on his forehead and looks at the time.
"Jordan, no, don't be so hard on yourself, we really don't mind- ow!"
Zoey elbows Felix in the ribs after she thought what he was saying would make Jordan even more upset.
"Zoey, did you really have to elbow him?" Melody asks with annoyance in her voice.
"Mel, don't start." Mackenzie says quietly.
"No, okay, why does Zoey always get away with pushing all of us around and we just stay quiet." Melody says as she stares down Mackenzie.
"Whoa, okay, calm down you don't need to get mad at me now, I'm just trying to stop more of us from arguing."
"Maybe because I'm the leader here." Zoey crosses her arms and mimics Melody's stance.
"Why? Because your brother is in charge?" Jace joins in.
"Actually, now that I think about it, why is Zoey the leader?" Luke asks.
"Because I was the first one here, and I guess I just got the position!"
"But we didn't agree to it." Jace says.
"Guys can we all stop arguing! It's bad enough the teachers are at each other's necks and we're not helping the situation." Ella says over everyone's slight arguing.
"I wasn't the one who started arguing, it's not my fault Melody doesn't like me touching her boyfriend." Zoey says while rolling her eyes.
"Oh that's it." Melody steps forward reaching out for Zoey's arm but Mackenzie quickly grabs her by the shoulders and holds her back.
"Why don't we go for a walk." Kenzie leads Melody out of the cafeteria, Melody quickly turns to give Zoey a dirty look before they head out the doors.
"She's crazy." Luke says with a laugh.
"Aw no she just doesn't like seeing little Felix get beat up by a girl." Jace says while pinching one of Felix's cheeks.
Felix slaps Jace's hand away and takes the plastic fork Luke was holding and throws is at Jace.
"I wasn't getting beat up by a girl, I can easily take Zoey."
"We can tell by the way you run away screaming whenever she asks for a partner for sword fight."
"It's because I have my own training to do. Duh." Felix laughs and leans back in his chair a bit.
"Enough, I don't want to hear anymore arguing. You guys are all so rude to each other, I understand Joey being a jerk, but all of you are jerks too. You guys work together, you're a team, try acting a little more like one. Now, I'm going to go find Mitch." Jordan says as he walks out the cafeteria door that Mitch stormed out of.
